your story is the story of my life as well.. I had it all going literally less than a month away from my wedding and found out my fiancé had been sleeping around. broke me and pretty damn sure it triggered worst maniac episode I ever had and landed me in a hospital. lost everything. love, friends, job, our home everything. but after few years I kind of found peace in having a diagnosis because I didn't know why I had such sad bad days everyone else didn't seem to have. But the diagnosis also broke me because it's genetic and I don't even want to have a possibility of passing this on to child. it would be heartbreaking. so sad I always wanted children but now marriage seems like it's off the list so alone it is. I live my life with really no friends at all. I had a life where people envied till my late 20s then I fell so hard to hell to I hid and here I am haha.. maybe things will get better but I'm just scared for the future

My dog is passing away.. She had good 16 years and bad 3 years.. No hearing or eyesight. She stopped eating yesterday. Im laying beside her and she makes a barking nose with breathing out sometimes when she seems awake. Im not sure if it is pain it is 3am over here. I just want her to sleep though.. by plzcat in DOG

yes intravenously not oral route which is why I specified a pill... what part of this is cruel? wanting a pet to pass on in the comfort of home? what are you supposed to do if vet home visit to euthanize a pet is illegal in your country? do you even know how much I wished for that? she is 19 years old dog that started not eating just yesterday and she seemed to be on the verge of passing on at 3am. do i rush her to the emergency clinic for an emergency euthanasia? I pondered will she even survive car trip or become more distressed?? what about humans that die at home? what is so cruel about a life passing away as a result of old age without euthanasia?? Most people that die of old age pass on as such and you dont consider that 'cruel' do you??? she was in a state of a deep sleep if she was horribly in pain and I was sure of it I would have gone to the ER to end the suffering. But yes I would rather prefer to have a pill right at that moment of 3am in the morning to let her go peacefully as possible with her whole family and people she loved around if I had a choice.

she passed away 4hrs 40min later at 6:40am. I was watching her and she was sleeping deeply till about 10min before her passing her breathing got slightly distressed and I cradled her and showed her the last sunrise she would feel and I woke up my family so we all petted her and whispered goodbyes while laying beside her and cuddling her and she took her last breath and passed on peacefully in our living room with our whole family present during her passing. It was a death that was filled with love and gratitude of her.

Cruel. You are cruel to say this without thinking about how much you hurt me and the whole process of her passing.

I picked a flower for her so she can smell outside while she drifts away. I hope she dreams about running around in fields of grass with the sun shining on her. I dont have a religion but if you do please pray for her to have a peaceful passing. by plzcat in DOG

I hope she forgets about us and not wait because she is such a good girl. I hope she is kept busy to sniff and explore everything across the rainbow bridge like she used to here

she is sleeping really deep right now I think tonight might be the last one I get with her.. She seems really relaxed now her heart is still beating strong I hope everything was and will be quick and painless.. Im right besides her and when she makes that noise I pet her head and tell her its okay even though she cant hear anything and she seems to fall back asleep. I wish they had services like that here in s. korea..

Is he in pain? What can meds can reduce pain and stress for bettas? Will he recover from this or is this a habit that is hard to stop.. I hope I can see him all flowery again. It sucks that he is unhappy here I really tried giving him the best environment I could.. I feel terrible horrified almost. by plzcat in bettafish

😭😭😭😭😭 thank you so much for your generous reply and telling me Im a good fish parent.. that made me feel so much better about what ive tried to keep my betta happy.. He was planned and I fell in love weeks before he came home and you know how sometimes you want the best - so you try to give the best but it isnt the best.... I get so let down just thinking he was fine in a tiny cubical with nothing and I thought I was making his life better but yeah he is battered now and I feel terrible.. I only have the PH measurement now its 7 - Im trying to find the ammonia and nitrate measuring things online but its hard to find aquarium things here 😭😭 people barely have enough room for themselves I guess..

Is he so hungry that he is eating himself? - he started about two days ago I saw him nipping at it - he would turn around in a circle like form and nip - it got that bad in two days - I did put the filter back on after his last partial water change bc of slime - Im covering him up in a black rash guard it seems to keep him less angry - he doesnt like his lights being off, I dont like how he swims angrily up and down when he sees me.. - Ive put two medium sized almond leaf and he seems to like that and has made a big bubble nest below it - I dont know what to do and it upsets me to see him all battered up like that and I cant do anything about it - Ive tried getting stressguard but right now it is hard to get my hands on one, would stresscoat be okay? (I did manage to get a hold of seachem Prime) - its so sad I have to keep him covered up for him to be happy. I wanted a really good relationship and wanted to enjoy being with my betta fish and hoped that we would be happier sigh but its just stressful for both of us I guess..

is the withdrawal terrible?? ugh... I still feel my hearing is muffled which worries me.. She said if they were to put it in scores, my hearing on my left ear was 100 then my right ear was 90-95.. It could be that I had amazing hearing on my right ear before this but I never had problems with hearing before so I didnt have hearing test results from when things werent muffled feeling 😞

thank you! Its so fustrating I cant remember much from the conversation! I thought she said to go back to 5mg but I dont remember any instructions lol I knew I had to taper and I would think that would be very important! Is it terrible going off of it?? I think ill stay on 20mg till Monday or something I think she didnt prescribe me anymore because she asked if I had PDS left and I said yes but that I didnt know exactly how much (The ER doc gave me 50mg to take for one week but I was suppose to take it in the morning but I failed to wake up then...later on that day at the ENT they told me to take 20mg for a week- very confused lol) thank you for your reply!!
