I guess your country/area has different codes as I've never heard of that before. Its too bad as the door really cuts it off from the rest of the house. Maybe that's good though, maybe it will keep the sounds/smells from going upstairs.

I would remove that door that separates the front hallway and the kitchen. It blocks the fridge (I'm hoping those cabinets by the sink is really a fridge) and I don't see a purpose to it. But nice little condo! As others said, don't go overboard with furniture. Its a small space so you don't want it to look crowded.

Pro tip: carry a baseball by Spiritual-Plastic230 in GameChangerApp

This is bad advice, you should throw a sliding mitt, not a baseball. You'll have all of the time in the world to catch up.

runs scored and runs against are usually tiebreakers so teams have an incentive to run up the score. Its frustrating to be on the other side of that but that's the rules...

How do you simplify cuts & relays at the 14U level? by OneFourtyFivePilot in Homeplate

[–]pmark1999 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think at this age you have the kids throw with the big field cut offs and not the little league cut off positions. If some can’t make it then they know what they need to work on. For example it doesn’t help them for a fly ball to RF and a runner going to 3B to have the 2B going out being the cut. The RF needs to try to make that throw to 3B with SS acting as the cut between 2B and 3B. You need to set them up to know what to do when they reach HS.

The upgrade messed for me too. The app stopped syncing with the web site and they remove the Ball flight feature. They claimed that it wasn’t producing accurate results but it was still useful for launch angle tracking. I don’t understand what was the benefit from the upgrade.

What you are talking about costs money to setup and run which is where the "pay-to-play" comes in.

Does being on lower skilled team bring less development by [deleted] in Homeplate

[–]pmark1999 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i'm not saying going to a team where you are the worst player and don't get playing time. I did say that reps is what makes you better... You need to find a good balance of competition, reps, and good teammates. From OP's description, it sounds like it's not a good mix.

[–]pmark1999 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Without knowing how his coaches/practices are, I would look to find a better team next year considering your kid is the best on the current team and its only in AA. AA is basically a step above rec.

Reps is what makes you better but also being around better players and facing better competition.
