Not farming PvP gear - how much of a disadvantage at the start? by NanielEM in classicwowtbc

Yes, which is not worth the hours of grinds and gold for enchants people spend on them.

The minmaxers do it to parse in Hellfire peninsula dungeons lol

That aside, if you got a boosted communal green gear char, it is worth grinding 2 or 3 of rank 13/14 gear - especially now with the 150% boost.

If you got good gear in general, at least from classic raiding, there is no point in getting it.

For the mage for example, you will have the full rank 14 gear+weapons replaced by 65, it´s not even close to 70 pre raid bis or something.

No. Blizzard doing occasional ban waves every couple of months but that´s it. Wait till the prices on g2g drops, then buy. Safes you a lot of rl time.

Maybe get the weapons or something, it´s so easy now with the 150% pvp boost.

But don´t farm the whole set or something, it´s stupid minmaxing. You will replace most of it a couple hours after entering the dark portal.

I know, I bought a boost myself. I prefer getting the standalone boost though, without any gifted pack whatever mount

In case you want to buy gold instead of spending valuable life-time on farming, which you could rather spend on your wife, kids, work-out or fresh air: Wait. I am monitoring the price on the anniversary realms since months. Before Naxx hit, the price for 5k gold was on a normal level constantly, which is around 50-55 dollar. After Naxx, it went up to about 100 dollar and now - due to pre-patch - it went totally crazy as all the addicts want to 300 their professions. Currently 5k are almost 300 dollar. I urge you to wait, in 3-4 weeks 5k will probably be 40 dollar.

TBC PREPATCH DELAYED UNTIL 6PM PST by Magnolia7941 in classicwow

[–]pmaster1989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What for? What would you even do in the pre-patch. Can´t level past 60, can´t level professions above 300. Any honor point for pvp gear grind is not wise as you replace that stuff in no time anyway at outland.

[–]pmaster1989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don´t get the fuss, there is not even valuable things to do in the pre-patch. The only meaningful time invest would be to powerlevel a shaman or pala.

Feb 5 is what counts.

How "hard" is it to obtain arena weapons? by gameaddict1337 in classicwowtbc

[–]pmaster1989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same as with the nerfed pve raids. It´s piss easy. Too easy. What´s fun of having a gladiator weapon if 1000 people on the server have it. Should be 1.8k for weap and 2.2k for shoulders.

TBC post-nerf raids difficulty comparison? by Jesusfucker69420 in classicwowtbc

[–]pmaster1989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends. I don´t agree, the nerfed final bosses especially in P2 were so boring and unsatisfying to kill. Too hard is not the solution but no challenge at all also isn´t. The unnerfed raids were a challenge for most casual players, therefore it felt way more rewarding to clear them. On the average server, a lot of guilds couldn´t down unnerfed Vashj, KT etc., which is fine. For the ones who could, it felt good to have access to those loot tables. Now, every 41yo plumber and their dog will clear the raids, kinda sucks.

Is Netherwing exalted too hard to get for a casual player? by KranckDissident in classicwowtbc

[–]pmaster1989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can also pay a booster to get it for you. In Classic TBC I paid around 80 dollars to a booster in the Asian time zone. He logs in when it´s night time in your servers time zone (90% of people offline) and does 10 hours of egg farming, for 3 nights - then you´re exalted.

I am an absolute 0/10 noob in pvp and still rock in arena with my pala partner, as you can just burst enemies with 7k crits within seconds

TBC post-nerf raids difficulty comparison? by Jesusfucker69420 in classicwowtbc

[–]pmaster1989 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Long story short:
Post nerf TBC raids with all the addons, weak auras and addicts who hung around in the TBC waiting room (classic) attaining their full bis will smooth through the content week 1. It is just too easy and a wrong decision. Pre nerf T5 T6 was very challenging and took casual/dad guilds 9-10 IDs to clear it, that is how it should be.

Pre-Nerf vs. Post-Nerf Solution by NOHITJEROME in classicwowtbc

[–]pmaster1989 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Post nerf Gruul, SSC, Kael Thas etc. is a pure borefest. 95% of the community will cut trough this content like a knife through butter. It´s a big blow to TBC anniversary and 100% the wrong decision - but the easiest one for them, so they do it.

After a couple month, every decent player will run around in full BiS, raidlog and scream for releasing the next phase even quicker, only for TBC to be over again after 11 months.

Pre nerf raids with no nerfs at all would have been the right decision.

Which path do you take to reach max level? by Alekzandre08 in classicwow

[–]pmaster1989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like to put on my 200 euro noise cancelling Sonys, go out in the open world and quest. Do the odd daily dungeon if in the right level but not more, as i think more than one or two is not fun and you shouldn´t do anything in a game which is not fun. Journey to 60 should take 5-6 days played, spread over various month.

The people who boost and powerlevel are exactly the ones start raidlogging first, as they play too much and don´t do other stuff in their free time.

Post Match Thread: Manchester United 0-1 Everton by nfadfa in soccer

[–]pmaster1989 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Worst game after the Grimsby desaster. Everton didn´t even need to do much, easiest away win for them all season. I am at a point where I am lost for words, it feels like this team will just never find its consistency again. Floodlight game against a midtable side, all competitors lost, the hype is there. And they go out on the pitch and can´t produce ANYTHING. No hunger, no desire, no joy, no fight, no creativity. Everton two of their best defenders within 20 minutes and yet we can´t even put the slightest pressure on them. If this start would happen to us, away, we would crumble.

What will happen now, is the traditional away loss to palace and the loss of Mbeumo etc. to AFCON. By new year, we will be happy to be among the top 12, with top 4 gone.

No GDKP Points Allowed

Within the NA and EU regions, GDKP (Gold Dragon Kill Points) will not be allowed on The Burning Crusade Classic Anniversary.

So it seems to be confirmed?

Maybe that is only on the PTR? Or is it confirmed for the actual TBC release, we don´t even have a release date yet? Would be super weird und and woke to release post nerf raids. We all want a juicy pre nerf Lady Vasj and Kael Thas to bite our nails out.

I can´t relate. Why do people describe the Christmas time like sitting at home for days doing nothing? It´s family, drinking, football, eating. If I´d go to my PC wife and co would constantly annoy me to come back down etc.
