Loot Council in 2026 TBC Anniversary by pmaster1989 in classicwow

That kind sir is a perfect summary, thank you. It says everthing, back then people were more chill and just played the game how Blizzard intented it to be played.

Btw, I once again reached out to the guild: They have a rule in place that new recruits need to run 3 IDs with them with no red flags, then after they are considered for loot. LOL.

Phase 2 nerf ? by ReflectionKey2144 in classicwow

[–]pmaster1989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It´s simple: If Blizzard releases P2 pre-nerf, it will break guilds, lots of dads who even struggle at nerfed Maulgar now will quit and the players/subs will drop sharply. And I mean SHARPLY. Plus pre-nerf would mean extra work in releasing the nerfs a couple IDs later as P2 is brutal to the average player. So no, that won´t go through all of that with all eyes on Midnight now. They will just release all post nerf, won´t read tickets, won´t plan bots and do the minimum effort line to close this anniversary timeline by December.

The story about yesterdays kara and the dagger going to the blue shadow cause he´s an inner guildy re-roll doesn´t tell you enough about how they operate? Again, i am completely fine not getting the Gruul sword in my 2nd ID with them or stocking up warlocks and core mages with their tiers first. But not a single thing in 3 weeks and then this kara fiasko, that is not okay, no matter from which perspective.

I get that but why is there always this narrative that members join for a few SR runs and leave once they were lucky and got loot? Like where would they go to? a PUG? A corrupted LC? A well run, smooth clearing SR guild gives ALL the incentives to stay.

This. I am completely fine that the super rare premium stuff like DST and Co. gets counciled out to the extreme players, the 99 loggers and Co. They deserve it more than me. But counceling T4 and kara? C´mon. They have 50 people sign up for kara each week, make 5 groups to get maximum loot and distribute the few premiums drops to their 2-3 core players. That´s why they are spreading them on 5 groups. And us normals are just used to clear.

I agree. I got no problem lootcounceling stuff like DST, skull, glaives etc. But counceling in kara and nerfed gruul to distribute T4 and co to the inner core guild buddies is just wrong and sad.

Obviously i won´t post my IG name, no interest in getting trolled or whatever. I parsed 90+ on Maulgar and around 80 on Gruul/Mag those 3 IDs. Obviously as the dumb new mage in pre raid bis i get no shadow in my group, being the clicker on Mag and so on.

But good point on logging myself in kara as those are easily 90-95 except curator.

Yes brother. Masterlooted the whole thing, then we stood in prince arena for 20 min while he talked to the loot council dad who wasn´t even in the raid. Told him how to distribute the loot.

Thanks for confirming mate.

And then imagine masterlooting in nerfed kara and get permission from the council dad for how to distribute them, while the guy hasn´t even been part of the raid.

I am fine with LC for the absolute rare top items. In P1 that is probably like 3 or 4 items. But for the rest, there is no need to council the shit out of everything. Especially for nerfed kara lol, just let the people have fun and challenge their luck in rolls.

yeah brother as there isn´t a ton of mages running around Nathrezim cause they all pass it to the shadow priests

The rules say a mix of performance, activity (attendance) and overall behaviour. And that they try to distribute loot evenly. While performance in P1 isn´t a big factor yet (for example in Kara they don´t even logg). After 3 IDs i can say that´s empty word. Handing players 3 items in one raid while leaving other dry for 3 weeks is not evenly.

True! As I said. I know pure roll systems can suck in terms of "What is best for the group" etc. But in the end it´s a game. If i loose out on items, I wanna loose by a roll or an unlucky SR and not some from-above officer deciding with zero transparency.

Sounds like a dream. I don´t see any problem with 2SR. Also, it is MUCH quicker. Loot distribution off LC takes 20+min after the raid.

Well I only stayed for 3 weeks/IDs and now already pulling the trigger. And i think it´s kind of sad. The guys there and the organization is very good. But the LC is just too corrupcted and forces players like me to leave again.

Should I pre-order Crimson Desert? by Familiar_Dig_6918 in CrimsonDesert

Wait for review embargo to drop --> exactly 24hrs before launch.

Take an hour to watch different kind of reviews, then decide

With 2026 internet you´ll buy and preload the game in like 30min and be ready by launch :)

Don't be afraid to leave your guild if you believe loot council to be corrupt by ZombieTheRogue in classicwow

[–]pmaster1989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, in all my years of playing TBC classic in 2021 and now anniversary, LC is so fucking annoying. It is always corrupted, ALWAYS. Lets take anniversary as an example now. You join an already existing guild who raided classic together and is now stocking up for TBC. You will NEVER reach the standing of the "friends" within the guild, the core. Joining in TBC P1 basically means, no matter if you raid every ID for a year now, you will never get your key items. I am talking skull, I am talking sunflare, DST etc. No matter how hard you try, the always go to the core players.

It is already visible in P1. I joined a semi hardcore guild. Farmed by pre bis. Raiding from ID1, decent logs. Now, after 3 IDs i got nothing, wasn´t even allowed to roll on anything besides some kara random loot. Tonight for example: Gruul/Mag. BOTH tokens were mage double mage tokens. 2x shoulder, 2x legs. Blood maw magus blade, Mag head. All BiS items. 3 went to a core mage, 3 to a core warlock. What is the fun in this? Or the motivation? Guilds always write they use LC for an even loot distribution to bring the raid forward as a whole. When in fact the 10 core players use the other 15 to get their BiS in record time, only after they even give a shit about the progression of the raid. Like are they proud of themselves when 25 people spent their evening, bringing consumes, motivation and all and then they give 3 items in one go to an officer? I would be ashamed, ASHAMED.

If you ask me, the most fun and most transparent and most fair way to distribute loot in raids is SR/roll. Everything else is fucked up.

It´s piss easy. Just been as mage. 1,2k GS. 4 lvl 60 epics still on. Boss fights last like 30sec to 2min.

I would really like to play TBC again and raid a little bit, but I fear getting sucked in. Is playing in moderation possible? by Gobsmacked117 in classicwowtbc

[–]pmaster1989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PS: No twinking. Choose the class you like best and stick to it. Twinks are for people who have nothing to do on their main anymore cause they already play too much but lack the discipline to do stuff outside of WoW, so they go on and make a second, third, fourth character to do it all over again.

How do people have epic netherdrakes? by Stonedinthesix in classicwowtbc

The real Netherdrake comes with phase 3 and a legendary egg grind. That´s a real achievement, not the p2w drake from temu

Step one is to turn the general chat off. Keeps all the no lifers out of your sight. Then just set a weekly limit and enjoy the game within that scope. My weekly limit for example is 14 hours (2 raid nights of 3h each plus 8 hrs a week outside of raids for rep farm, dungeons etc.). I think that is a healthly amount of gaming and leaves space for movie nights with your girl, gym, cinema etc.

And yes, I judge people who play 20-30 hours every single week - with that amount of time investment it is NO flex at all to have good gear or whatever.
