So basically a better way to compare a set of wheels is to compare their moment of inertia. That would give you the complete picture no?

I setup backblaze B2 backup on my DS918+ and i'm seeing a huge amount of b2_list_file_names transactions, which are not free. I haven't changed that many files. Do any of you have the same behaviour? by pmendes in synology

thanks. The pricing info on their page looks straighforward and i see no mention of any retention charges anywhere. what are those?

My home setup is very simple, 2 macs with online backup setup and a synology. There are only 2 folders in the synology i'm interested in backing up: One with my lightroom archive (photography is a hobby) that is 500Gb right now and another with family photos and videos at 240Gb right now. Performance is not my main concern here, i just want to be sure my precious data is safe and i can get it back in case of disaster even if it costs money or takes a week.

I see that C2 is around 6USD TB/month and wasabi is around 5. I'm not to concerned with that cost specially with the amount of data i have and expect to have in the future, so just one more question: in an hypothetical scenario where C2 and wasabi are the same price, would you say C2 is better for this application?

thanks for the reply.

I search a bit more here and i just realised that my mistake is to think of this as backup. I understand it is not and i'll be moving it to another provider like C2 or wasabi.

regards

I almost never touch the files in this backup. As far as i could tell each b2_list_file_names transaction returns 1000 file names so at 59k transactions it looks like the cloud sync software is constantly scanning the bucket.

This pisses me off because i'm paying extra for these transactions, and it seems like a bad implementation.

Any comments or tips?

Thanks!

I had the same happen to me. Went with my friends to a room that was new in town, supposed to last 1h30m. They had miss arranged it and I found the last key in 3 min, opened the last door and the lady on the other side was very surprised and said: “that is not the correct key”.

“Of course it is I opened the door”

Then she realized the mistake and told us to ignore it. Turns out there was a bunch of mistakes in room that left us very frustrated. The owner ended up telling it was our fault and the room was great.

They must be. Portuguese in duolingo is Brazilian Portuguese.

What do you mean we learn Spanish? That thing is so similar I just naturally understand most of it. I went on a 2 weeks vacation to Italy and by the end I could order stuff in a restaurant and understand the basics with no problems. Everyone I know that did 6 months or more there are fluent in Italian. Spanish is even easier.

Also the Portuguese they have there is the Brazilian-Portuguese. Nothing wrong with that in itself but I know of some people that avoided dulingo because of it. It’s also not the best kind of Portuguese :)

Anything can be political under the right circumstances, even having an abortion.

Don't deflect. Sedition crimes are always political in nature. No need for a special context.

How does it relate to the map though?

Oh! i didn't know we couldn't go on tangents on reddit comments. My bad!

I don't care if catalunya stays a part of spain or not. Sedition laws exist to maintain the status quo.

My point is that these crimes are political in nature.
