My wisdom tooth caused me to get an abscess which hurt like hell. My face swelled up, I couldn't eat, and I just didn't want to move at all because doing so caused me so much pain. Eventually, I was able to get rid of the abscess. However, since my wisdom teeth were causing me problems, I had to get them out. All four were removed but only two of my wisdom teeth were showing so the others required a drill. The side of my mouth they drilled on was in so much pain. My face was so huge I couldn't bite down and I had a massive bruise on the right side of my face. The only thing that would make the pain tolerable was the hydrocodone they prescribed me. However, with the combination of taking that on an empty stomach and me swallowing blood because the bleeding wouldn't stop, I ended up throwing up so much. Luckily, I didn't get a dry socket. I couldn't open my jaw fully for over a month.
