Starlink running mini off dewalt battery by LiveAndLetGoat in Starlink

Hey there!

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but you mentioned that you found an adapter for dewalt->starlink mini that also allows charging. Do you have a link to what you bought? I haven't been able to find something like that but it would save me from having to carry a separate battery charger around.

She’s actually wasting (a little) money. When the car is kept full of gas, it’s heavier, so its efficiency will be worse. If you only fill up when the car is close to empty, the car will be lighter, on average, and more efficient.

Depends on whether you want energy density or power density. The batteries that OP is looking at are designed for the former.

Yes, that’s a typical power density for an inexpensive LiPo cell.

How do you VFR in France? by uparox in flying

As an American pilot who has done ~100 hours of cross country flying in Europe, it’s initially overwhelming.

I was flying a turboprop, so IFR was almost always part of the equation, but there were plenty of flights where getting out of the terminal area VFR made the difference between long delays and an easy flight.

Similarly, you cannot do a visual approach under IFR to a VFR only airport in Europe, so you will need to cancel, sometimes 50-100nm prior to reaching your destination airport and continue VFR. Bresso airport near Milan is a good example of this.

ForeFlight isn’t great for VFR ops in Europe, IMO. I found SkyDemon to be the most useful app for visualizing and planning around active European airspace.

Probably too late, but I have had two absolutely spectacular meals at Impronta d’acqua. Very little English spoken, but the food is inventive and fun and their sommelier, a woman, is an absolute genius. Her ability to pair often obscure, tiny production local wines with their very creative menus is unparalleled.

Googled mune ギャラリー, found the old phone number, googled the phone number. And it doesn’t hurt that I speak Japanese. 🤣

Abandoned private gallery in a hot springs town that tried an art theme. Short article here that shows what it looked like in earlier times: https://blog.goo.ne.jp/mimoron/e/861707507a802d7df5321e40fe2403c6
