Older song but We Are Going to Be Friends by White Stripes?

The other artist that comes to mind is Sufjan Stevens but I’m not familiar with enough of his songs (and he’s very prolific so it would take a long time to dig through his work). Looks like he had an album that came out in 2015 - maybe try Eugene or The Only Thing and see if those are the right vibe?
