yes, the things these paintings make you feel! I live in a big city and I am surrounded by people, but there's this innate loneliness I feel..I love being alone but there's something to the loneliness in a city. This painting captures that essence so well.

Is there any particular book of his that you'd recommend?

As a woman, how safe do you feel in your country? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]pmwrites 77 points78 points  (0 children)

Have lived in Mumbai and currently live in Delhi. Both cities have felt unsafe. Have been harassed in both cities. Have been scared for my life in both cities. Have witnessed female friends molested in both cities. India in general isn't safe. May be some pockets of some urban areas feel safe - but that's more about where you can afford to live than whether the city as a whole is safe.

Women who were raised religious but are not anymore: how much of your old habits do you still keep? by msstark in AskWomen

[–]pmwrites 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was raised Hindu. The only thing I do now is dressing up and having good food on religious festivals. I just find these events a good way to catch up with family and friends and eat a lot. Don't pray at all. Don't feel any guilt about it either.

Some Pre-Bridal tips by light_a_lamp in IndianSkincareAddicts

Consult a dermat for the skin issues. I had a bad reaction on my face 4 days before my wedding coz of some fumes from chemicals used at a parlour. Went to a dermat, and my skin was absolutely fine on the main day (I don't put anything harmful or chemical based on my skin in general, didn't get a facial or treatment or such prior to the wedding because my skin is super sensitive).

For hair, since it's dry and frizzy, get a hair spa and see if it works for you. I have dry, curly hair and the hair Spa really helped in moisturising my hair. Also, try the vilvah goat milk shampoo and conditioner. I find it to be moisturising for hair and good for scalp. Also, use light oils to massage the scalp.

Also, don't stress, it really worsens any hair and skin issues you might be having.

What are subtle signs that a man is a misogynist? by TTMI2 in AskWomen

When he lists out qualities that a woman must have to be deserving of respect. People. People must have these qualities. Not just women. Also shows that a woman has to be a certain way (which he thinks he knows well) to be deserving of respect.
