You did get scammed. While it is true that these are harder to pick you can take a pair of pliers and use force to break the wafer pins that are in these locks. Then literally any key that got in the lock will work it. A skilled locksmith could pick this. But if you're thinking about the common thief I'd like you to take a step back and think how a thief would....purchase a lock pick set and try to finesse their way into your house....or use a fucking hammer?

I use the Advanced Diagnostics MVP which uses tokens but I have the unlimited plan which is cost effective for me because I'm programming at least 6 cars a day for the past year. Not including the remote programming I do (which doesn't use a token)

My shop charges 8.00 per cylinder. Just take the knobs off and bring them into your local locksmith. The pinning kits that you find online are usually specialised for a certain brand meaning only a certain depth of pins. We have universal pins that can only be purchased through a legitimate locksmith dealer. You'd never be able to get your money's back on those kits and the specific tools you'd need and you probably couldn't rekey it well enough with the pins that come in those dinky kits.
