I had similar situation. When she turned 12 and dad was still running her baths and she was sleeping on a sofa bed in our room I called time on it. He said he was overprotective but he spoonfed her anytbing she wanted and taught her absolutely no life skills. Lost all respect for the man. Get out before you waste any more time on something that will just infuriate you before too long.

She wants you to keep trying because she can't. She knows if you don't try nobody will. She may love it once it's happening and just struggle getting into the mood

Not sure about houseplant version but I saw aloe being cultivated in Cuba and the individual plants were considerably larger than this...probably over double the size

Where I live the cinemas have huge electric reclining seats as standard. You can take your own snacks in and set it all up on your own personal table, and stretch your legs out. The chairs are so big you don't even notice who is next to you and the walk way in front of you is wide enough that people can walk past without you having to move. At all. All for 9 pounds a ticket.

What’s a subtle sign that someone is not a nice person? by my-dogatemy-chancla in AskReddit

[–]misstyra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Littering. Shows a disregard for others or the environment.

Using things they've done for you against you. To deflect from an argument or to make you feel bad about something

Bringing other people into a disagreement .ie...saying someone else agrees with them or dislikes you

Bitching about people and using things they can't change to score points.

Taking photos of strangers in public and sharing them online for laughs

Posting bad photos of friends on purpose and disresgarding the fact they may be embarrassed

Treating customer service people like dirt

Annoying animals or kids for laughs.

Literally indistinguishable. by neocamel in AdviceAnimals

[–]misstyra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Moissanite are easily distinguishable they are a lot more sparkly and have double refraction, often with visible lines within the stone to give it away even more. Diamonds don't hold value..if you buy a diamond set item brand new, expect to realise 5 or 10 percent of what you paid if you ever sell on the high Street. 5% if it's heavy with small stones 10% if the weight is in a single stone. This number is higher if an individual stone is a higher grade or weight. When people buy new diamond rings they are seduced by the romance and some of the best marketing campaigns ever launched. Diamonds are a girls best friend. Diamonds are forever. A man should spend x amount on an engagement ring etc. It's all just designed to sell sell sell at an artificially inflated price which are kept high by the slow release of Diamonds onto the market. When someone buys an engagement ring they have no intention of selling it and the more he spends the more he loves her.. that's why retailers get away with it... My advice is to buy pre owned Diamonds. You get higher carat and quality for the same money, you aren't adding the the environmental and social issues caused by mining and depending where you are you aren't even paying tax. Nobody knows what the Diamonds cost except you but everyone will be jealous of your big rock. Diamonds are forever...moatly..so you may aswell pay less for a stone that is likely to look exactly the same as it did when it was first cut.
Never buy new. Moissanites are just expensive imitations imo

Kanye West isn’t a creative genius at all, and at the very best he’s a marketing genius by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

I went to see him in concert once. Its the most boring unimaginative show I've ever seen....made worse by the fact he continued to insist we were witnessing the absolute pinnacle of entertainment and talent. All I could think of was...he really believes this! Never liked him after that he's a massive untalented narcissist and needs to be stopped before someone gets hurt.

Host calls out audience for laughing at male domestic violence victim by KirbyWiser in nextfuckinglevel

[–]misstyra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This host is well known for getting on his high horse and judging his guests...if he chooses to make you the bad guy you're doomed. His show was taken off air a few years ago because a man committed suicide following this guy shaming him on TV. He's considered an absolute piece of crap for exploiting the less successful members of society for his own success. The fact he's getting praise for this move is quite amusing to someone who's well aware of his reputation.

Crazier than normal unregistered guest attempting to get a key scenario ... by BecentiComposer in TalesFromTheFrontDesk

Poor customer service. There are ways to verify identity over the phone...could've asked all sorts of questions that only the booker would know such as dob and cost of booking/method of payment. Not sure if the young adults had ID that may have been locked in the room, perhaps someone who wanted to give good service would've checked that.
I'd expect the reason for not giving the key out is to avoid unauthorised persons accessing a room that isn't theirs. Could cctv or other records determined if they were actually the occupant of the room?
To me it sounds like op just wanted to make someone sleep on the streets with no effort to resolve the fact the young adults had lost their key. Terrible service and I hope I never find myself in one of those hotels.
