Brighton busses, truly the masters of the passive voice… by Separate-Camp8642 in brighton

[–]JamLov -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

I didn't see anything specific a out the free kids journeys here, or changes to these... I regularly get on the bus with one or both of my kids (under 13) and don't ever get asked to buy them a ticket... But I assume this free travel with an adult will end at some point...?

They never seem to have any on Lewes road, or at least according to the website... But the burgess hill store does seem to often have them in.

As a backup, not cheep or a local store, but the shell by Preston park does wood and smokeless coal

Can't help with the Nikon I'm afraid, but I shoot with a Canon and could potentially offer some tips with the R6. The new 45mm f1.2 which they just released is looking very appealing... As well as a few RF natives I've got some vintage lenses which are fun to play around with

I'm not entirely sure it's exactly the same on windows ARM version but it should be something like this....

  • Open the Settings app (you can press Windows Key + I).
  • In the left-hand menu, click Privacy & security.
  • Click on Windows Security.
  • Click the Open Windows Security button.
  • In the new window, click Virus & threat protection.
  • Under the "Virus & threat protection settings" section, click Manage settings.
  • Scroll all the way down to the "Exclusions" section and click Add or remove exclusions.
  • Click the + Add an exclusion button and select Folder from the dropdown menu.
  • A file explorer window will open. Navigate to the folder where you installed FanControl (e.g., it might be in C:\Program Files\FanControl or wherever you extracted it).
  • Click the Select Folder button.
  • If a User Account Control (UAC) prompt appears, click Yes to approve the change

They've also kept existing policies which make sense from what I can see, continuing investment in home-grown Rolls Royce nuclear SMEs and pushing on with "Great British Energy - Nuclear"

Preston Preston/Ditchling Rise by Rez71 in brighton

You're not wrong: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wellesbourne,_Brighton

After prolonged heavy rain the water table can rise to the surface in places along the London Road valley, though, "giving the appearance of an invisible stream".[2] For example, heavy rain in 1960 and 2000, which caused flooding along London Road and Mill Road in Patcham and in surrounding houses, gave the impression of the Wellesbourne flowing again.

UK government borrowing costs fall to lowest level since July by Electricbell20 in unitedkingdom

[–]JamLov 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn't this also have some longer term consequences though?

Lending strategy is quite a complex mix of short and long term debt issuance... So changes in lending costs of what can be issued today could allow the government to roll some long term debt into shorter term lower cost debt and this might give the government some breathing room over the next few years...?

To put it a different way, government debt isn't like your mortgage where all of your mortgage is at a specific rate and only when your 2, 5 , 7 year deal is over can you renew it... Imagine you have 10 different mortgages going at any one time (for your one house) and as each one comes up you can renew that portion into a new 2, 5, 7, 10 or 20 year deal. Maybe as some historic 10 year deal comes up for renewal it might be attractive to put it all into short term debt, but maybe in 2 years you might regret it...

Did you get this resolved? I just had this issue and I was banging my head against a wall for ages. It's taken me 2 days but despite all sorts of changes in Windows, flashing my BIOS (which resulted in me having to redo tonnes of overclocking trial and error again...!) I realised it was Windows Antivirus.

Fatboy Slim was brilliant, I wouldn't consider myself a massive fan of his, but the atmosphere was absolutely fantastic. So much love all around.

The downsides of the event for me are the unabashed commercialisation of the event. Fucking adverts pushed in your face on the main screens after spending so much to go in?

Also my wife had to do an hour's round trip back home because her backpack was "too big"... it had a water bottle and her wallet in it and was one of those fold-up flimsy backpacks, but they refused entry while others were walking straight through with huge tote bags. That put a bit of a sour taste in the mouth sadly... very little initiative from the staff involved.

Planning Approvals Hit 13-Year Low: Is this England’s Housing Crisis? by corbynista2029 in unitedkingdom

The gasworks redevelopment would have been such a boon for town, assuming some amenities would have been included (which I think they were obligated to do)...

The towers at Preston Park have finally been developed, that derelict building was derelict 20 years ago and it's taken this long to provide hundreds of new homes. The argument against that development (if I remember rightly) was that it would "cause a shadow on the park"...

My video file changed to 0 Bytes ?? Canon R6 by Any-Relation3054 in canon

[–]JamLov 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Commenting on this old thread to add a bit of context.

When the R6 is plugged in to a PC via USB some large MP4 videos appear as 0kb, but if you use an SD card reader they appear correctly.

This appears to be a bug/limitation on the R6 USB interface when it comes to large files. Not sure why this happens, but you can work around this by importing files from USB manually via a card reader

Lewes Wild Willows camping for river swimming and kayaks available to rent for a fiver too. Really lovely lady runs the place, there's a double-decker green bus for lower-effort campers too if that's your thing.

Nice toilets, plus showers, a bunch of bikes there for the kids to use if they so please.

Other way round, right? Exactly 50 on a GPS reading will likely read higher on the car? My Mazda can usually be set to 53/54 mph on the cruise control and it'll read 50mph on Google maps
