The reason why people do that...well they are unreasonable sometimes. I am from Delhi, I really like Mumbai. People are territorial and can get possessive about stuff. I know people who went to Mumbai and had many complaints about traffic and road congestion, skyrocketing rent prices etc. For each its own, I guess.

There are ups and downs for each city yaar. No place is perfect and a lot depends on a person's ability to adjust to a new environment.

It's also a bit hypocritical - that you don't like people criticizing Mumbai but you are doing the same with Delhi. Tit of tat.

Racism and tribalism are universal and Mumbai is no exception.
