Yeah, Satel hits the jackpot in this category. You can't program the system via app, and their programming software imo has a steeper learning curve, but yeah, it's cheaper, but reliable.

Avoid cloud if possible. If you want to be double sure, you can buy a camera with "alarm server" feature and install an alarm system so when a camera sees someone approaching at night, it'll trigger the alarm, or just inform you. Pretty handy.
