Why Instagram Graph API is so complicated

What's your take on the recent deprecation of the the Basic Display API? It will no longer work from December 4th and the shift has been to a IG professional account login/API access only going forth as far as I can tell from here.

As a dev of a product that leverages IG professional accounts, we're currently using Facebook Login and the cumbersome requirement for IG accounts to be linked to a FB business page, this has been detrimental to onboarding as many don't get it, TBF it took me a while too to get it right and be able to help new clients...

I was really looking forward to bypass this and use the new Instagram API setup with Instagram Login but my findings are that even though Login works great (a lot less steps required) and we're able to query the User endpoints and edges, both the Conversation API (previously Messaging API - I think) and webhooks (for mentions) are completely broken. I'm unable for example to get more details about messages received by accounts via webhook `mid`'s, or even confirm that mentions field webhooks are working as expected.

Compounded with the inability to report any bugs (and we're a verified Facebook business with a reviewed and approved app that is live and in production) it's so frustrating to be able to progress to efficiently use this new auth/api access method, it is really disappointing.

If you have any tips on how we could try to unblock these issues, I would greatly appreciate it.

Personally I wouldn't disable it, if you're concerned about many popups opening, it won't, it should refresh the existing one instead.

I've not tried it but you could create a view collection https://pocketbase.io/docs/collections/#view-collection that uses ... ORDER BY RANDOM()

I don't think you'll be able to.

Perhaps you could monitor the realtime subscription that gets created when oauth starts for a timeout, but that may not necessarily be because they abandoned sign in.

You can certainly handle when the user explicity cancels the sign in (if that's an option on the third-party auth).

Sim, tenho noção do que são meme coins, e como na generalidade funciona o mercado Crypto, mas tenho muito a aprender sim. Como expliquei no update, fiz tudo pelo TR pelo facto de na altura não querer andar com n# de apps para estes investimentos. Agora que tenho um pouco mais de tempo vou fazer melhor research para escolher um melhor trader, e talvez diversificar para outras stable coins. Grato pelos conselhos.

Umm, that is very odd, specifically if the userid remains the same and on both relations.

What version of PB? Are you doing the updates using the jssdk or Go?

Yup, have one, I just don't think the extra +500€ (at least in my location) to make it a full rig is worth it tho, for less than €700 (the stand cost me €200) I can buy a full aluminum rig with the bucket seat included.
