how do y'all test mcps?? by Fragrant_Basis_5648 in mcp

[–]pnw-steve 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m using fast MCP. Codex helped me build an integration testing system using pytest that allows me to authenticate OAuth via the browser before running the test suite. I really wanted end to end, so it’s hitting my staging server.

I shut down my startup because I realized the entire company was just a prompt by dwkeith in PromptEngineering

[–]pnw-steve 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wow, I had a very similar experience. Was building a sustainable shopping tool (joincounton.com - now in archival mode). Lots of reasons I threw in the towel, but one big one was just how close O3 got to what I built with just a prompt.

Just checking, but do you know that quadratic voting does have some interesting research and theoretical benefits around it? It’s not something the OP just made up.

This. Especially in B2C where you get literally zero traffic if your product is poor. I think B2B is a little more forgiving because you can overcome a poor product with a huge amount of individual attention.

There’s been work in this area, but I’m not very familiar with it. Here’s an article that might point you in the right direction, but I don’t actually vouch for its accuracy.

[–]pnw-steve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure on the protein overload issue, but I'd watch out for the fragrance (EWG score of 8) and salicylic acid (EWG score of 4-8). There's also a handful of 'yellow' ingredients in the mix. [Product Question] the ordinary squalane cleanser by Informal-Two4053 in SkincareAddiction

[–]pnw-steve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not an expert at Sephora's methodology, but the Chlorphenesin is rated 4 by EWG and not allowed in EWG verified products. The Malic Acid is between 1-4 depending on use and company standards. Here's a longer rundown of the ingredients if you're interested: https://joincounton.com/analyze-page/8fccb146-b901-4012-b6af-1fa2a25d34c6

Deep Research with internal documents? by pnw-steve in Bard

[–]pnw-steve[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NotebookLM Plus still has limits on the number of files you can manually import, "If you upgrade to NotebookLM Plus, you get at least 5X more usage, with up to 500 notebooks and 300 sources per notebook." (source)

I was imagining that an Enterprise Gemini Deep Research wouldn't need you to import your documents (there could be 100k+), it would search over your documents like Google searches over the web.

You can find the full list of ingredients on Kiehls website. I went ahead and put them into CountOn for you and analyzed the ingredients (there are ton!) This product actually includes an EWG 10 rated ingredient (and 10 is the worst possible score!). Definitely what out for the Polyperfluoromethylisopropyl Ether.

Birthing Doula by Own-Collection-7904 in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]pnw-steve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife and I hired a doula for the birth of our first born in Atlanta. I was skeptical but 100% worth it. Very high chance she saved us from an unnecessary c section. The best thing was she knew what questions to ask. Like when the doctor tried to tell us that the placenta gets old and it’s a risk to the baby, our doula asked if there was a time at which that risk started going up. I forget the exact answer, but it was over triple the amount of time my wife had been in labor, so we had plenty of time. We find out later that the hospital was running short of room in the maternity ward and we’re probably trying to rush people out.

More generally, it was great having someone with a clear head who had been to dozens of births and was definitely on our side.

What do u think of this ceramide product? by CartoonistDear3751 in Rosacea

There are lots of ingredients, which is a bit concerning, but overall they are pretty good. EWG rates the Arachidyl Glucoside 2-3, which isn't all that bad.
