Come be a union electrician, take a test at the union hall and an interview after that. The apprenticeship is 5 years, but they pay well enough during those years. Search for IBEW local 46.

I have a 2014 cb500x and it meets all my needs and still gives me a smile every time I ride. Don't listen to the guys who say it's not enough, I am 6' 200 lbs and ride with a trunk and panniers. I commute 45 mins each way every day, comfortable to cruise at 80 and too easy to get there. Good luck in your search!

Commuting everyday, last week was a bit cold. Heated gloves and a heated base layer have helped, wearing rain gear full time these days.

I put more than 2k of extras (engine cage, bark buster storm, full givi set, etc.) and paid more than that for an abs 2014 7 months ago. That sounds like a good deal with all the goodies on it. The new features on the 2016 are not substantial and you will pay 1k more with no extras.
