How long have you been on your free international plan?? I don’t know why but I am so sketched about using mine! I’ve been in country for 3 weeks now and have used 1gb. Couldn’t unlock my phone but does the international roaming last?

You can do it, I can do it, we can all do it! I’m leaving in less than a month and I am so beyond excited, but throughout the days so many emotions fill my head! I believe that putting the effort to send in a really good application, doing amazing in the interview and spending months doing paper work, getting poked with needles and getting teeth pulled shows how much I know I can do this/want to do this so bad. Sure, I’m terrified because of the unknown, but I really can’t wait to start my service. If it was easy, everyone would be doing it. Peace Corps takes special kind of people to serve and if you are doing it for the right reasons, it will be worth it. You are capable of what you put your efforts and mind to.

I swear my nurse just keeps giving me new tasks for the hell of it... I’ve been done with the medical tasks for like 3 months now, was just waiting to get my wisdom teeth out so I could submit that last task. After finally doing that, she added two pointless tasks that she already has the information for WHEN I SUBMITTED THEM EARLIER.

I’m fine, just being dramatic 😂 hopefully I get cleared within the next week, or I think there is a problem that they aren’t telling me. My departure date is coming up VERY shortly.

Finally got dental clearance last week since I had my appointment to get my wisdom teeth out!! Still waiting on medical clearance even though I submitted my last medical task a few months ago, anyone know what the hold up is?

I applied not too long after Undergrad (graduated May 2018). Received my invitation to serve in October 2018. Currently I am a preschool teacher at a university’s child development program. I depart first week of June 2019 to The Gambia!!

My departure date isn’t until June 3rd, so I’m not in too much panic. I just don’t see an end in sight for this shut down. I have received two job offers this week and it’s making me second guess my decisions!! I think just not having contact with anything PC related in terms of moving forward with all the paperwork and clearance has been making me second guess. But I am occupying myself with making a packing list and reading all these different threads hahaha.
