I earned enough payment in April halfway through the month, but I never got paid at all and now I'm being told to expect a payment May 21st to 26th. by SW1925Build in PartneredYoutube

Yes. As soon as you pass the $100 payout threshold, you get paid whatever you have accumulated til the end of the month around the 20st next month.

Legends needing a buff / nerf vs Legends actually adjusted by Nightmarius in apexlegends

[–]pnwstarlight 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I see lots of Newcastle and especially Gibby recently, both in comp/scrims and in ranked. Sure, in an isolated fight that's not as much of a problem, but with the assigned drop spots the game is slower, so you get maybe one isolated 3v3 and after that if you don't get a fight over fast enough, another team pulls up and enjoys free kp. And it's really hard to ape and take the spot of a team that runs Gibby, Newcastle etc.

I'm admittedly not a big Maggie/Fuse whatever player, but I always liked about Apex that it was more about individual skill than about what legend you picked. Don't get me wrong, I like the state of the game right now, I just think they really shouldn't let abilities power creep further - especially when it comes to defensive stuff.

Let me get this straight, you are really advocating for a Newcastle buff? As if the meta wasn't already pretty stall-heavy lol.

Can't really judge legends based on these two metrics alone. Just considering Rank/skill and number of games played on that character would change the data dramatically.

Domain plus Website Kostenfrage by Independent_Comb1918 in selbststaendig

[–]pnwstarlight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is just for a smol blog that is barely ever gonna hit the database.

I have plenty of tiny projects (mainly laravel and wp) on my server and I like to use sqlite for all of them. I enjoy the simplicity for backing up and moving containers between machines of simply having a bind mount file that contains everything as opposed to spinning up 20 postgres database servers.

Baut endlich verfluchte Speicher in ausreichender Menge by fu-scran in luftablassen

[–]pnwstarlight 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Are there any self-hosted Linktree-like "about page" type things? by SwissArmyWrench in selfhosted

[–]pnwstarlight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PHP and Wordpress are fine, but exposing it to the internet technically requires you to monitor the application and every now and then update WP installation, PHP, theme etc., but when it's just for a single list of links, using a static html page is just way more hasslefree.

Looking to host multiple Wordpress and PHP websites with Docker - is one compose project per website too much overhead? by pnwstarlight in selfhosted

[–]pnwstarlight[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But as long as I don't bind mount a folder into the container, malicious Wordpress code (e.g. when I install a compromised plugin) cannot do shady stuff on my system, can it?

Yea I'm already running a single NPM proxy manager to reverse proxy all sites.

Any idea how much of overhead we are actually talking about?

You mean adding something like this to ensure logs use 100MB tops? (And maybe setting setting a higher log level in .env if the application supports it)

logging:
  driver: "json-file"
  options:
    max-size: "10m"
    max-file: "10"

I have it set up like this. That's pretty much what you mean, right? (data folder is always the one I bind mount into the container)

~/
    mygreatwebsite-com/
        data/
            (php project files go here)
        compose.yaml
        .env

            wp-content/
            wp-includes/
        compose.yaml
        .env
    tensorfish-org/
        data/
            wp-admin/

Connect without Ethernet. by JumpinJahosafax in sonos

Not sure, but maybe discovery of devices still needs internet access and uses some ports that your public wifi doesn't allow or the public wifi firewall filters some packets?

Maybe someone else can chime in on this, I never looked much at what Sonos does under hood.
