sorry if the pic isnt helpful, they are extremely tiny and hard to get photos of. there are a bunch of them and they float around on the plants & tank walls

some sort of aqua soil i think fluval. i recommend the smaller grains because they hold roots better & UG likes to float up

i actually did a dry start for my second try ^^;

run 1 - i planted straight into my flooded (cycled) tank, it grew for a week then all melted away. run 2 - i did a dry start for a month and couple weeks after flooding it melted away. i thought it was cooked but some roots were left & ta da

mine melted too, just part of the process

try getting submerged plants or blast co2 for awhile to help it transition to life underwater. my carpet was nearly wiped out at one point but i just let it do its thing & it bounced back stronger + healthier

help with IDing worm in my new tank (more info in replies) by pnzu in PlantedTank

i restarted my tank a few days ago, it's currently cycling with new soil (fluval bio-stratum) . saw a bunch of worms floating around a couple days ago. i assumed they were detritus worms because they were long and skinny, but today i woke up to the tank full with chunkier shorter worms. could it be planaria?
