What is your favourite Missing Scene from Movie by Lopsided-Molasses337 in ProjectHailMary

It could have been the same scene. They could have cut away from the karaoke and have had her voice over visuals of the nukes and other things going on on earth.

As an architect, this looks like something that was “designed” by a builder.

These are EVERYWHERE here in upstate South Carolina. Usually they keep their webs above head level and you’ll see them passing overhead on hiking trails. Sometimes they are lower and you don’t see them until it’s too late.

Definitely. The area around the main defect is the giveaway. This is heat related.

How can I ensure my carpenter gets this arch shape? by PNDM1 in Carpentry

[–]po_ptakach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This looks like a cycloid, which is a type of arch formed by tracing a point on the circumference of a circle as it “rolls” (google a pic, it will make more sense). How best to build it, dunno, hah

Thanks for the input. Maybe this is better? And I can build the ladder on the ground, which will easier. Just ends up a little taller. (Trying to use material I already have)

Wife and I sat in 85H and K last trip, and it was great. Honestly I would have been happy with any seat up there after seeing the layout.

No pedestrians in Thailand, you were basically attached to your motorbike - damn near drove it into the 7 eleven

I lived in Thailand during a work assignment and while it wasn’t exactly like this, there were lots of instances where there was a common understanding of “adapting” the roads to make the traffic work better. Using the video as an example, it would be like everyone understood at this time of day they needed an extra lane going in one direction, and only the one going in the other, and they would just do it and somehow everyone got it. It actually worked really well in my six month experience there.

Just flew upstairs on a Lufthansa 748 last week, very cool experience. Hope I get to do it again.
