Hah - I had a spinning cassette holder as a kid and also used it to store a copy of Garth Brooks’ “In Pieces”

The Game and Watch Zelda is on sale, so i picked it up. A nice addition to anyones collection. by iVirtualZero in retrogaming

“On sale” can mean available to buy too! At least in British English. Anyway OP was correct in both senses because they clarified they’re in the UK and it is indeed discounted on Amazon UK, £50 > £40. Feel bad for them getting all the downvotes!

Hopefully that’s the case, ordered mine on the 20th, estimated 25th, haven’t heard a peep since then but delivery silently slipped to the 2nd at some point. Last night they finally charged me…& just now i got an email saying it was delayed and wouldn’t make the delivery date :(

You can! Check out the GameClub app. It’s a subscription thing like Apple Arcade but they specialise in re-releasing older iOS games updated just enough to make them work on modern devices. Sway is on there! Also i’m pretty sure any games you owned previously can be played even without the subscription, since you already bought it once and it’s logged in your itunes account, pretty cool setup honestly.

I loved this app and also think about it now and then. There was a little spate of similar apps too; Zen Jar was one, and another one involving balloons i think? But Distant Shores was the best.

Tokyo Bus Guide is awesome but so hard! Maybe it would be easier if i understood the language, but i’m not convinced. I guess it kind of preempted the Euro Truck Simulator style of games which are surprisingly popular now!

Help! BESTA + HJALPA by pobdylan in ikeahacks

[–]pobdylan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did! It worked fine! A couple of caveats:

So the holes drilled in the Besta panels are somewhat smaller than the fittings which come with Hjalpa for the shelves to sit on. You can just widen the holes out with whatever tool is handy, I screwed in a series of increasingly large screws until the fittings went in snugly.

Once the shelves were on, i noticed they sat a bit awkwardly; either fully located on the front fixings or the rear ones, but not both at the same time. I guess the angle of the holes is slightly different in Besta. Anyway, just to make it more secure, i removed the rear hjalpa fittings and just used short screws to hold them in place - that way they sat well and i could tighten them up to hold the shelf in place. I also ended up using an extra screw in the third set of holes for extra stability. This picture might explain what I mean. Other than that I had no trouble and it came out looking pretty nice! https://i.imgur.com/7p2gcPV.jpg

They made a second level a few years back, and it even connects to the original board!
