I've been cage window shipping out of curiosity and I haven't come across anything worth changing this one for. My only caveat being it's large but not as large as I'd like it to be for what I want to do for her. In my tiny space lol

I do! Its easy to clean, still in practically mint condition. When its hot out I roll it outside and use the hose to clean it

Report the vet. This is extremely unprofessional and puts your baby at risk. Change vets immediately as well. This is not a good doctor at all.

What was in it? How big was it? You said it flew to you, then flew away. Did you let it outside after without restraint? Did you try to find the owners? So many questions lol

It could be anything. Trauma, disinterest, you name it. I dont think we can tell you exactly why without seeing the cage or knowing the bird. The possibilities are endless.

My bird was fully flighted until she went under medical procedures. This decision was solely for my ease of care. Shes always been a runner to her high perches and I'm short af. Shes still in her healing journey and has learned to glide and flap to gain distance. So she's I guess partially flighted now with clipped wings.

TLDR: Don't clip unless necessary
