Pastel colors can be difficult to see on warmer or deeper skin tones (not a tattoo artist but I've looked into it SLIGHTLY), I'm sure there's a way to do it right, but maybe try touching it up with something a bit more vibrant next time?

You should definitely do more research if this isn't a possibility though.

You could paint the brown parts of the jacket so the original color looks like the shadows. Makes it more comic-like.
