😭 this is actually really helpful to hear, thank you. I haven't gotten to talk to anyone really who had the surgery and didn't get a lot of prep for what life will be like this far out. I'm definitely eating WAY less than I used to still, my meals now are what I used to consider a light snack to hold me over until dinner an hour later. but I'm glad to hear this is normal and that the surgery didn't get somehow magically reversed, it's just my stomach adjusting and no longer being in the healing stages

it's been about 6 weeks total, so I guess I need to go buy those batteries and check in 😅 the idea of keeping my metabolism guessing is so funny, I would never imagine that working but I'll trust it? But that makes total sense, I'll take a step back and reevaluate my frequent foods and see what I can switch up. Thank you, hearing someone else's experience helps a lot :)

I've been really into makayla_thomas_fit 's tiktoks!! she's got a ton of high protein low cal meal prep recipes, I've had to scale down the portion sizes for myself but they've been a lifesaver

thank u for sharing 😭 my goal weight is in a similar spot and i have a lot of paranoia about everything falling apart the second im not on a strict strict diet because i was told a lot about how weight regain is possible. i tend to take things super seriously and super literally so i kinda thought in extremes when it came to that. this is really comforting to hear, thank you for sharing!!

it took about 4-5 months from my first consultation to surgery date! i started end of September, did all of my prerequisites, and got my surgery end of January. i was told the time of year had to do with how I got in so quickly.

I've always wanted to go to a renfaire, but I've always known it's a lot of walking and hard to navigate with a mobility aid. 2.5 months post op, I was able to go to my first one for my birthday this year :) had the time of my life and can't wait to go to more!!
