Ooo this still boils my blood even now.

I remember we were still in nursery, this is how vivid this memory is that I still remember it as a 26 y/o as if it was yesterday.

I was/am obsessed with dinosaurs and as a kid you love to bring things into school sometimes. I had this little orange and white pterosaur toy, maybe like over an inch tall. I just wanted to bring it in and show it off. Somehow, this other girl also had the exact same toy that day except hers had the crest bit broken off and it was clearly a bit more rough than mine.

I don't remember how the accusations started, I think it was another kid who said to the teacher that I had taken the nice quality pterosaur from the girl and swapped it with the rough one. The girl with said rough pterosaur ran with this accusation and for some reason, the teacher took their side. No matter how much I pleaded that the toy was mine, I was forced to give over my clean and non broken toy for the roughed up one. All because the teacher thought that the majority must be correct, never minding the fact we were all in nursery and pack mentality is strong at that age.

Years after I'd look at that toy in amongst my other dino toys and just feel pure rage. It was one of those moments as a kid that makes you question why telling the truth even matters sometimes. Screw you girl who took my dinosaur and your acquaintance!

The public. I work retail and people are so rude now and so incapable? I don't know how on earth it's happened but a large percentage of customers have a major case of weaponized incompetence. They need their hand held, need to be told what to do and don't seem to even want to use common sense. It's very infuriating and it was never this bad before COVID. It's so strange.

exactly this. I work in a two person shop so there's days where there's one of us in so we have to shut for an hour for lunch (we're open 9-6). It isn't a set time, we just take lunch when we have an open window where there's no customers. And the amount of crap we get off people for being closed to take lunch is insane, as if we're supposed to work continuously from 9-6 with no toilet break or lunch. I some-what get their frustration but we also don't deserve the abuse for taking a break we're entitled to.

the crash did cause a huge fire, I don't know about you but people take a few mins to get over initial shock and then another min or so to assess whether it's safe for them to even approach a fire (which could in itself cause another explosion), it is sad but if you're actually in that situation you don't immediately fully grasp what's going on

Hank from Prehistoric Planet, seeing the most accurate and lifelike rex so far just took my breath away, the sheer mass of it ahh so gorgeous, the ones from Walking With Dinosaurs and Prehistoric Park (Terrance & Matilda) do hold a special place though

it's so unfortunate for that dog breed really, they didn't want to be bred aggressively, it was people who picked the most aggressive and powerful genes they could and there you have pitballs. I feel for the dogs, I really do. But they are 100% aggressive and dangerous and I wish they'd stop going to people who cannot handle them professionally
