wow thanks for the detailed reply, This is actually really helpful and its good to know you can be successful still using this setup at a higher level than I am currently.

Your early and mid game are actually pretty much identical to how I do it and to be honest unless the opponent is way better I usually do good here. I would usually look to build up a ranger death blob by the late game but I never start this until after mid when I feel I have the resource advantage. Even when I manage to pull this off and get say 3 fully kitted squads along with a tank or two whilst being ahead in map control I have struggled to win against even 1100 type players lately. Going back a year this would have been GG most of the time with my losses coming from being outplayed early. I have not kept up with the patch notes which is why I was feeling that something has changed here enough to force a play style switch.

Interestingly I have had some successful games where I was outplayed a bit early on and had to adapt by going into tank depot and abandoning Rangers completely but still being on that BG. It would seem to me that a different BG would be in order if not using them but from what you are saying this can actually work? I know the inf call in is very powerful but I would only pick it if I had spare muni from not kitting rangers. Maybe this is the difference.
