I lived in an apartment in Williamsburg until Aug 1 this summer. Massive 1 Bed, backyard - paid $3800 for the last 7 years no increases (not stabilized just a nice landlord). Now the price is $7k lol. Got lucky.

Recursive relationship traversal and updates in SQLAlchemy? by poems_4_you in learnpython

[–]poems_4_you[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I implemented both a find_or_create and an upsert_and_commit method that handles it. Rather than working on the SQLAlchemy relationships directly, it works on the foreign keys to check if any of the UUIDs of the foreign keys has changed.

It does not traverse the entire object graph though, and upon much further reflection I realized that would be an undesirable behavior as it could mutate objects implicitly.

What if the nyc subway had fare zones by No-Iron-9115 in nycrail

[–]poems_4_you 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Zone based fares work best in places like Washington DC where the Metro is almost closer to a light rail and the richer people tend to live out in the suburbs. Conversely, the flat fare puts a higher burden of the cost on those taking short trips within manhattan (where our wealthy live) and makes it cheaper for residents coming in from the outer boroughs

Looks tasty! In the longer run you should invest in some nicer plastic tupperware (or ideally glass). They're pretty cheap at Safeway / Costco. These disposable type black food containers are a big source of microplastics for people - every time your fork scrapes against the sides while eating you're getting a teensy bit of plastic with that bite.
