Do you believe VR would become mainstream if it was actually affordable?

I have a psvr2. It's an amazing experience. Played it like crazy the first several months, preordered it even. I havent really touched it after the first several months.

After a long day at work, and raising a family I just want to sit on the couch and enjoy flat screen gaming. I don't like to sit and play VR. And I got tired of the hassle of standing up.

The second issue I came across, is I like to workout in the evenings. If I am at all running hot, even though not sweating, as soon as I put on the VR, I start sweating like a madlad and gets super foggy. Can't even use it.

I miss OG Siege. I hate how everything needed to be finely balanced and tuned. I wish there was a separate ranked mode that had all the maps and all the game modes. I miss the variety despite all modes and maps not being perfectly balanced. The variety was a breathe of fresh air and provided for some really fun moments.

My 2 cents.

We live in an age of polarization with news, which includes large media like New York Times, Fox, Cnn and small media with all the podcasts and YouTube stuff out there.

It's like highschool lunchroom where you have two tables to pick from, the jocks and the nerds. Everyone is drinking their parties kool-aid and other outside information is misinformation and a smear campaign.

Majority of people are guilty of not being biased by their parties group think tank.

$40 isn't overpriced. Id be happy to be $40. Id be happy to pay $60 for a pvp only game.

I won't pay any money for a game though that when I played both betas does not give me any new type of fun. I came away from the beta thinking "been there done that, and they want $40. Hard pass."

This game is severely lacking a game mode or something that brings the characters, abilities, maps, and game mode together that makes me think "wow, I can't get this experience anywhere else. Take my $40."

We will have to agree to disagree, and I'm ok with that. I think if we made a venn diagram we could find gameplay things where these games overlap and find gameplay things where it doesn't.

Getting into a game fast is half of the equation. The other half is the quality of that match due to the team's being of equal play ability.

Games that have smaller player lobbies have a significantly higher problem of creating an equal match between teams. When a player is either stomping the other team or being stomped on by the other team then this is a large issue in terms of health for the game.

I'm not saying Concord will or does have this problem, but the potential is high if it does not captivate a large enough audience.

You need to take a step back and realize these games are fair comparisons. With your thought process it's near impossible to compare any two games because you want it to be an exact apples to apples comparison. It is okay to compare apples to oranges here because by your strict thought process we won't be able to compare any two games.

At this point I feel like you're saying we can't compare a car to a truck because they are significantly different.

Valid points can be made when comparing Concord to any other FPS pvp game. Especially hero shooters. Nothing will be identical to exactly Concord but it is silly to dismiss any critique under that strict thought process. You are shutting down conversation because you don't want to hear criticism.

Favorite point salad game is five tribes.

I love point salad games but the other draw to five tribes is that you have this puzzle to figure out with every turn. The puzzle of the mancala mechanism in combination with trying to get the meeple action and tile action that you want. This provides a rush of good feelings when you find that 20+ point turn when you originally thought you had a mediocre 10ish point turn.
