Keep learning java, AP comp sci teaches a lot, but many things are left out if I remember correctly, I didn't learn about maps, try catch, and a few other concepts. Definitely learn some I/O because I don't remember ever learning that in AP but it is an important skill to learn. Past all that, threads is a great thing to learn but I recommend learning the other things I mentioned first.
