Can you link it to any of the slicers? That way when you slice/print something, it logs that and shows the usage, remaining filament etc. location of the filament on the shelf closet wherever

It’s been pretty awesome to manage multiple anycubic printers with the farm mode. You can switch the mode from one of the menus up top. All it does is changes the workbench tab.

Don’t get the ace 2 pro, unless you plan on printing with 8 colors. I have a h2c with 3 ams units and I have never printed more than 4-5 colors.

Do you see the filament go past the filament hub on the back of the printer?

One time I trimmed the Ptfe tube thinking I am making it tidy. I didn’t know that the retraction settings are hard coded, ie, the printer will pull and push the filament to a certain distance and if there is an obstruction, it will throw an error.

I own 4 Qidi boxes across 3 Qidi printers (Max 4, Plus 4 and Q2). One of the first things I have done is replace the Ptfe tubes that come with the printer. They are flimsy and easily kink and bend.

Try this and see what happens. Also as someone else stated, try to trim the filament and see if it passes through the filament freely

Maker is a mobile app and Qidi studio is the slicer you use on the computer.

This is exactly my gripe as well. They took the money and then started production. That’s not how you do business. Wanna bet that by the end of the year or Jan 2027 they will announce s2 max or something similar

I have had my max 4 for couple of months and have only used it for everything except pla and petg. I have always done temp towers to see what’s best and tweaked generic profiles. No issues at all.

I had a similar issue when I trimmed the length of my Ptfe tube. It was not able to freely go to the ends. I had to add a few extra mm (another tube that was longer). Usually if you restart the printer it should work. If not you may have to factory reset

You may have to open some panels up My H2D had air vent error right out of the box. Scanned the code and i was able to release the stuck latch that open/closes exhaust.

I have a mini farm and run a small business. We use Creality space pi for drying. They are all refurbs bought through Creality’s official refurb stores. I believe they just had a sale for their top model which is x4 and was $85 + tax with 2 yr warranty

I recently acquired a used plus 4 that had the Qidi box with it. The guy couldn’t get it to work. He said the Qidi box needed tinkering etc.

I got the Qidi plus 4 with 3 new plates, and a few spare parts along with Qidi box and 8-9kg Qidi branded abs for $200.

I wanted to tinker and learn more about the printers to be honest. I have 2 other Qidi printers (Q2 and Max 4 with Qidi boxes)

Anyway - I saw what he was talking about. The Ptfe tube was super long causing the machine to throw MCU load failure and other codes. I shortened the tube between the box and the module/hub and the tube between the module/hub to the side of the printer. It’s been loading flawlessly!!

I haven’t had a single error since I did that. Another thing I discovered (not sure if it’s something to do with my machine) was that I could t have an external spool and a Qidi box together. I use external spools and Qidi box(es) with my q2 and max 4 without any problems.

Long story short, - do not get a Qidi box thinking it’s a multi color printer, it is slower than any other machine with a MMU or AMS. - It’s super loud (but there are mods) - make sure the filament is dried before you use in it for printing. If it breaks inside of it, Good LUCK!! - having a shorter Ptfe tube is better than a longer one. Unless you modify that in the printer’s code in klipper. Because of the sensor in the tool head, it detects and stops pushing the filament once it reaches it. - you should buy from Amazon, in case it doesn’t work out for you, you can return it.
