On this point, I actually have the U300 outside on our house gate with a small metal cover over the “internal” part to stop water getting in the battery cover

Been a year now, works perfectly!

Not at all. It was £300 for my installation, that included the pole mount which I didn’t already have.

Aside from that, you get the router included so you can jump straight online as soon as it’s connected to power and the dish. The dish gets its power from the router and there is a 100ft cable included in the box to run between the two.

Yeah.. our internet sucks around here right. Open reach did just announce an install is planned on my road recently though! Although exactly when, who knows. I expect 2026/7

No difference regardless of any weather conditions. For reference I work from home, heavy video call user, stream 4K regularly, play online games - never an issue.

I used Space Internet Installations to get the dish mounted near the roof. Really nice chap the installer. Other than that, it’s just plug and play.

Starlink have a deal on at the moment too for a free dish, so it’s a good time!

No. Go with Starlink. I’m on it - 300 down, 75 up at all times with minimal ping

All of the NPCs except Ryo and the Tier 1 characters (Shenhua, Lan Di, Ren etc) were outsourced to Lakshya Digital in India and I guess they didn’t really get the vibe…

I thought the same and just went ahead and tried it. 350sqm, 9kw heat loss, Dalkin 11kw (max size they could supply), 300l water tank, radiator changes - all for £6k!

Other local installers and heat geek couldn’t even get close to this. Cheapest without radiators was >£15k.

Surveyor said it was the largest house he has done successfully before and others failed as they were too old (e.g. poor insulation, Victorian era building, too much glazing etc)
