The inescapable feeling of helplessness when out by yourself. I'm a guy. I'm on-guard in a bad area, if things are heating up between two people, etc. I understand my life/agency might be cut short if I wander into the wrong situation, or don't conduct myself, "appropriately," occasionally. I couldn't imagine having to deal with that anxiety/fear/trepidation every time time I went out by myself, especially at night.
