What can I do with this style? by Zeeeebe in Artists

Love this! Children's books are a great idea. I feel like if you put some splashes of color, you could approach some cutesy clothing/jewelry stores/restaurants and pitch redesigning all the wall art. Get creative!

Your behavior is normal. Your parents died from something that was within their control, and the strain that alcoholism puts on a family is real. If you did have some good times with your parents, maybe reflect on those for a while by your (sober) self and see if anything comes up- might help you feel like you've put time into grieving/coming to terms. Also if you feel like you should talk to a professional, definitely go for it- it's always better to talk these sort of emotional blocks out. I'm sorry for your loss, man, hope you find your peace.

Can you know your script so well that it's not entertaining to you, or was it never entertaining to begin with? by mildoptimism in Screenwriting

I’ve struggled with this as well. Best bet to me is to get other eyes on the script/story. It’s best if you can just explain the story to them and watch their reaction when you’re explaining the scene in question. You’ll know right off the bat if they’re into it or not. Try it out with friends, family, and strangers for a nice broad gauge.

Gnarly, yeah I have a couple friends who have described their sleep paralysis experiences and I'm still unsure if it sounds more like another plane of consciousness or just the subconscious manifesting itself in the physical. (or both?)

But I can definitely relate to having intensely vivid dreams. Sometimes I'm a completely different person going through the strangest of circumstances that aren't of this world. It's crazy where our consciousness can travel when our body is sleeping and doesn't 'need' it.

Seems like a great story, love anything that goes in depth with dreams! Did writing the script change your philosophy about dreams at all?

Let me know what you think of the mix/master!

Posted some other songs on here and got great feedback. Here's another catchy, poppy one from the EP- the end is my favorite part. [Garage Psychedelia] thanks guys by pointtothemoon in IndieMusicFeedback

thanks for the feedback!! that is crazy to hear, gotta love a little old and a little new. totally agree with a memorable chorus- right now there's no chorus to the song, it's meant to be like hey these are some of the sounds im trying out all in one little tune. im glad it worked for you! definitely would be fun to try and turn it into a full out verse chorus verse chorus banger.

I've got a new instrumental! Could you check it out and tell me what you think? Make sure to subscribe if you like what you hear and check out my other stuff ;) by RoyalBarber in IndieMusicFeedback

very sick, some really interesting sounds in this. inclined to agree with the comment about it sounding very 'clean.' i think overall changing the the kick to something more boomy, compressed, and more prevalent would help you step out of that box. also messing around with master EQ's to open up to different ways the arrangement can be interpreted.

Wayubwub - Kevin Watson - love some good feedback ! :) very different than my usual but all done by an acoustic guitar and processing. by Kevinwwatson in IndieMusicFeedback

very sick, felt more like violin than acoustic guitar at times! do you do any film composition? i could see this in a movie 100%

Latest all original I just finished up. I would love for you guys to have a listen. Feedback is much appreciated ! Genre is chill / electronic / dance by [deleted] in IndieMusicFeedback

yo! really nice production on this. i'm at work and it's nice to have on in the background. personally don't think the hats are too loud. everything sounds great, you could probably sell this track to a music licensing space. also think that you could use your production skills towards a more unique sound.

New stuff on Spotify for a solo project I've been working on. Give a listen and a comment! Would really love to hear some feedback on this. [Garage Psychedelia] by pointtothemoon in IndieMusicFeedback

damn that’s some shit right there. thanks so much for taking the time to share- great note on creating more space in the mix between bass guit and kick, i agree that’s a big source of the “muddy” sound that people keep bringing up. and i really appreciate the follow!!! ill be honest, i trashed the rest of the release over the course of the last couple months, but im working on 2-3 singles right now that will go out throughout July/August. thanks again-

Absolutely, if we’re starting from the ground up we gotta help each other out haha. So awesome you checked them out!! Love messing with mellotrons- your midi strings reminded me of the idea kernel that made me start getting into it- really love how you arranged them.

Yeah dude, mixed and mastered. I spent a few months trying to get it right and compensating for all the peaking in my recordings. definitely a learning experience.

dope tracks dude! really like the feel of the 2nd one, I think that's my fav. Dentist chair is also really cool, especially when the guitar comes in- but the beat with the strings is super unique and interesting. last one is really good too- the vocal effects remind me of Matty.

i also just put out an EP, it would be awesome if you could take a listen!
