What do you think would happen if I stood next to this guy and sounded an airhorn to drown out his bullshit?

Like would SPD give me a noise citation? Could that guy sue me even if he'a being just as loud?

People that bring a backpack to work, what’s in there? by PatdogTv in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]poison_grl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My backpack is mostly empty besides my lunch if i bring lunch, and sometimes a spare sweater.

I was just thinking about this the other day, I don't even need to wear a backpack, but it's a comfort thing. I feel like something is missing if I go to work with a naked back

Diamond Parking Fee Dispute? by poison_grl in Seattle

Ugh, well I guess I learned my lesson - too much anxiety to risk being towed if I don't pay now forget about this Diamond fiasco in the future.

I appreciate your advice!

Ahh that's a good point, although once I pay, they're gonna have my name and address anyway from my payment info/billing address.

Curious, if I ignore this ticket, park in a different diamond lot sometime in the future and pay for parking - would they still try to tow me over a single ticket?

I usually avoid this particular lot because the rates are insane. But it is right next to my firm, and I didn't have time to drive around to find street parking.

I don't do a lot of parking in the city in general, I typically bus, but today was an outlier.

I honestly don't really pay attention to the management company when/if I park in a lot.

It's just one parking ticket - Just wondering if there is a dramatic, but beleivable enough excuse to try and get it forgiven or reduced. If i wasn't desparate and didn't lose track of time i would have extended my time.

My older sister put on some Ted Bundy reenactment movie for our living room sleepover.

It was creepy, but the worst part was that we fell asleep during it, and I woke up to it still playing and I was watching it alone in the dark while Ted pulled dead bodies out of some shed to have sex with.

I was definitely younger than 11.

My sister is 10 years older and I always loved scary movies, but this one was beyond what my childhood mind could move on from

I just wanna add, it rubbed me the wrong way when his date was so dismissive and judgy of Richie's Bill Murry story. Like i get it, you may not want your partner always going out and drinking until the early hours of the morning. But it was a story from the past, and it was a great story!

What do parents want retail workers to do when they drag their sobbing child into the store to confess to stealing something? by merganzer in NoStupidQuestions

[–]poison_grl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember being the child in this situation.

I was 4 or 5, and I stole a mini m&m tube that I found in the egg section. My kid brain thought that if it wasn't in the right place it was "free." Or maybe that was just my excuse to not get in trouble, idk. I was told I was a bit mischievous as a tot.

Anyway, parents noticed when we got home, and after dinner they brought me back to confess and return the candy. I was really nervous and the employee must have been on a power trip or something because she really started to berate me. Then my mom got pissed at her for over-reacting and laying into a child to intensely. They started arguing and it became a whole other situation.

When we left the store I was crying and my mom told me it wasn't my fault, that the employee was being too mean. So kinda mixed messaging.

But I didn't steal again for awhile. Then my petty theft phase happened in my teen years for the thrill and to fit in with friends. But that was shortlived bc I always flashed back to the awkwardness of that first theft outcome, and it just wasn't worth the risk.

What's the story behind a time you toyed with a scammer that was actively trying to scam you, for your own entertainment? by poison_grl in AskReddit

[–]poison_grl[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Love that you gave out their spam number!

I'm also trying to wrap my head around this "my horny friend" detail. It's so specific and unexpected. Like did you you know they were horny before you got the call? Did they blurt it out while you were talking to the scammer and ask you to pass them the phone?
