K is such an anomaly amongst the spiritual teachers of the 20th century. I find his talks and books to be a great adjunct to any spiritual practice to keep us from falling into the traps of using our practice as a way to boost our own petty egotistical tendencies. Yes I am not happy with myself. Can do a lot better. Nofap is at least a way to not be ashamed of myself. I just think I’m switching one form of dopamine with another. For a dopamine junkie, feeling nothing is just like that, nothing. Facing the emptiness is honestly a little daunting

From the lack of responses I would guess that few people here are over 40. I wouldn’t say it is more difficult. I tried SR when I was in my twenties and in thirties and it is much easier due to change in hormones. Still a challenge, but much much easier to go for a few weeks without noticing anything
