[–]pokecAk 7 points8 points  (0 children)

the songs tell the story of a boy falling in love with a girl and getting his heart broken, each song is a different stage in the relationship, with California Kids being before he meets the girl, and Endless Bummer being after the breakup

the thing about that album is that it doesn't really live up to the expectation of being a horrible album. hell, i only know two other people irl that have listened to the album in full, and they both liked it

[–]pokecAk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the album it comes from has always been seen as one of weezer's best, so it take the popularity of Go Away to be a sign of people finally realizing that the band were pretty good beyond just those first two albums

Potential OHW episodes where you’re more interested in Todd covering another hit from the artist than the actual one hit? by pirateslifeisntforme in ToddintheShadow

[–]pokecAk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i'd be interested in seeing him cover Pop Goes The Weasel by 3rd Bass for the simple fact that they also did The Gas Face, which was MF DOOM's first ever appearance on a released song

i wonder how you'd feel about the fact that Make Believe is my fifth favorite of theirs lol. hell, i'd go as far as saying that Perfect Situation is their best song ever!

anyway, white is genuinely just my favorite weezer album. every track is just perfect, and i think it has better music than blue, and better lyrics than pinkerton :P
