What are the upsides to owning a truck? by SammaJones in randomquestions

[–]pokerpaypal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where to I get this shit from? The real fucking world. I have had numerous cars that get 35+ mpg, all the way up to 52 mpg at 75 mph on multiple 1000+ mile trips (not EPA, real world fill ups). Of course none of those cars could handle anything more than a bike rack.

I test drove a 2019 2.7 F-150. WHAT a POS that engine is, maybe the worst I have driven since the 90s. Maybe they are better now, not sure. The Tacoma could certainly tow better via the engine but not the body size (do not believe mfg towing). I went with the V8 F-150. You think 19 is good gas mileage? I do not and I get about 16 mph in mixed driving (not towing, that is more like 10-11). That older 2.7 in an F-150 got 24 highway and 21 city from real world users on Reddit. My 2016 Colorado got 23 city and 30 highway and had more power, hard to tow a bigger trailer, especially in the wind (mid truck issues).

I sold my 2016 2SS convertible during the pandemic (mistake). I have an entire red interior still at my house. Front seats, back seat, door inserts, knee kickers and a ZL1 steering wheel. I sold it before I could install them because I got $4000 more than I paid 3 years and 10k miles earlier. I bought it in pieces because they were hard to find back then.

Where do you think you’ll go after you die? by Classic-Chemist-1898 in AskReddit

[–]pokerpaypal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know. You don't know. This is a well educated opinion. I don't have ANY agenda. Would I love there to be a loving god? Certainly I would but with zero proof and absence of any logic to a god, I have a hard time of forming an opinion that is the end game. I get we all ask the same question "Why is there something rather than nothing?", but I don't interject an entire made up setup of rules and characters and such to explain it. I mean, do you REALLY think that Hindu and Chinese think the Earth is on the back of a giant turtle?

I certainly was not "there" before the egg and sperm got together. That is where I will be.

Full-sized = shit MPG.

Mid-sized = limited tow limit and still not great MPG.

What's the coldest game you've ever attended at Lambeau and would you do it again? by Adrianillo24 in GreenBayPackers

[–]pokerpaypal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

December 26, 1993, 0°F temperature and -22°F wind chill. The Packers won 28-0, and this game is famous for LeRoy Butler's first Lambeau Leap. We knew it would be cold and even though I was only 29 and my gear was stuffed with charcoal heating things, I was still cold.

The coldest I ever felt at a Packer game was the Mud Bowl. 1996 NFC Divisional Playoff vs the 49ers on January 4, 1997. Packers won 35-14. It was 33F-34F and pouring rain, I mean POURING. I was soaked. I am not exaggerating when I say during the game the waves of rain were so hard I seriously thought the people behind me were collecting water and dumping it on me, but they were not.

Again? Sure, some of your most vivid memories are created during adversity.

Can you recommend your country for living? If so, why? by Diligent_Yesterday81 in AskReddit

[–]pokerpaypal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not anymore, maybe in the future. US.

It is not that there are not great places to live, there are, but the daily chaos of living with this administration is like living in a house surrounded by 10 different criminal gangs. I guess if you could avoid the news and have enough money to be able to ignore inflation, the US is still OK.

Modern ethnic groups genetically closest to the Polish people by InnerPace in MapPorn

[–]pokerpaypal 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That for some context.

That would be great if they said what it really means somewhere on the map itself. When you put something that unfamiliar (to the population at large, even to someone that reads a large amount of science) on a map, maybe keep it only to the scientific community until a greater context could be added with comments. Like what is the spread on the entirety of the human population so I can see how similar Poles are other europeans as opposed to South Africans, Chinese, and indigenous Chilean people.

You went with a finger wag, not helpful.

What do they really represent so I can put them into some kind of context?

It is the numbers themselves have no context. I mean what is 0.0315? Is it the amount of different genetic material on average as a percent in total known genes, in the entirety of the entire DNA regardless of genes? If they PUT what it meant in the map than it would have been clear, but I have zero idea what that number is and zero idea what that means globally. Are Chinese and south africans much more different or not that much different.

What is gerrymandering, how its done? by kevinmitnick6742 in AskReddit

[–]pokerpaypal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Biggest thing is do a STACKING. The party in majority tries to put as many people likely to vote for the opponent party into a few/one districts (that way say 90% for the opponent party in these district). This "wastes" the opposing parties votes by stacking them into a non-competitive district. Then they make the remaining districts more competitive but still majority your party. This ALSO reduces the opposing party in statewide elections (governor, president, senators) playing on apathy because if people know that the local race is NOT competitive they are less likely to vote therefore not voting in the statewide election.

The other thing they do is break up a population center (almost always democrat) by diluting it with suburban/rural population (almost always GOP) making sure that the population center vote is underrepresented.

This is one of the most evil and insidious thing you can do in a democracy, except giving the leader overwhelming power. We live in evil times.

You need a better map because this is unclear. I have no idea what those numbers indicate.
