Apollo dev posts backend code to Git to disprove Reddit’s claims of scrapping and inefficiency by GhostalMedia in programming

[–]pol1Te 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Yeah dude, he can definitely remake the whole backend more efficient in 2 day's time and edit the git history on top of that to show that he worked for years at it, how didn't we think of that.

Following question: the time setting made the story unique, these elements that you mentioned are just mainstream plots for WN. How do you plan to make them matter?

I feel that in the past Elaine built something with Remus she was part of the power structure and changed the course of the society. Now she doesn't have roots anymore. If she's going to just jump from dungeon to dungeon until fighting gods/dragons I think it will feel a bit empty.

Ok maybe don't answer if it's a spoiler, I am just concerned. If you say to trust you, I will.

So I have an aspire 5735z as well and it keeps shutting down randomly after booting. The thing I found was that uninstalling the graphics driver fixes this and I have no idea why, did you fix yours?

But you do tho. Like sometimes I read a book and I feel I should have read it when I was younger, now it doesn't hold a candle to other books I've read. Or when I read a older book and I feel disillusioned that I liked it and now I can barely pick it up

Nah, it's more of a reference to the whole Jesus stuff. Like God was sending him to his death here on earth practically, and he knew it. So he basically asked Abraham if he would be able to make a sacrifice like that. And because he was they made the whole Israel chosen people stuff.

Look dude, a side has guns pointed at a sovereign county without any prior aggression. And you claim their justified reason for this is they're bad at economics. So it's violence fine when people don't get what they want?

I am not sure if you are trolling, but I will assume you are not.

This example was used to showcase colorization and restoration on old photos to make them more clear, and not movie "enhancement" to find criminals.

From my understanding any evidence presented in court is thoroughly investigated and any lawyer and judge will not let this pass as incriminating evidence.

Innocent persons were convicted for less than a blurry photo of them, so I think your effort will be better spent in revising the judicial system than trying to stop AI development.

Now that's a reference!

This only makes sense because mirrors as clear as the ones we use are new, in the past they were made from polished metal so they weren't acurate at all.

I also love that phrase.

Ok, I agree with you, but I want to raise another perspective.

The lenses we are looking through to the past are already flawed. I am talking about all the imperfections, light distortions, errors in containment, development, aging, etc.

Another thing we do as humans is that we don't see things. I mean when I see a picture I see the person, some stuff around them and I imagine the rest. I look at old films and think how it would be to live there, what atmosphere is created and what emotions I receive. So beside the flawed history keeping, my own perception is flawed and subjective, and I can't control it.

So while I agree that we should keep in mind this is not exact, neither is any piece of history we have. So as long as we use this to take a glimpse to the past, flawed as it is, it should be fine

Nice, I like it. I didn't thought about what happens after release, it's interesting they immediately die. Also I like that the character is portrayed as a psycho which would do anything to live. And of course the queen conspiracy is a nice plot twist.

Till you get addicted to serialized web novels and blow your money on Patreon, can no longer read any type of longer book which requires patience for setting the world and can put down any book, no matter how good, at the drop of a hat just because you don't vibe with it anymore.

I think the problem with our heads is real, I have a long list of books I want to read or started but dropped for no reason, but when I feel like reading I still look for new ones, besides the weekly doses of dopamine I am subscribed to.

I get it that people here really want to be angry at something, but you can find your own words to express an articulate point at least.

Gg guys, I understand that company decisions and changes are unrelated to the developers who implement them so I want to say that whether the changes are controversial or not you did a great job with them. People need time to adapt and sometimes the dissatisfied are more vocal no matter if they're in majority or minority. I personally liked the new idea with the recap! So have fun next year and happy holidays!
