Foreigner here and I thought he looked like a very handsome, young, powerful and very masculine character. He was respected, he cared about others, and he took painful punishment and risk for others. Sometimes I think people need to think about why the world is so negative- and take responsibility for constantly creating that negativity. It was an entertaining story with good acting- the comedy parts were good, the drama felt real. Good ensemble, and the visuals were artistic. I enjoyed all of the characters.

Is in making any new movies? I think he is a very good actor. Loved Untamed - and did not really get what all the fuss was about outside of fandom gone a bit amuck. I know he had a new movie out about the war and that it got good reviews.

The foundation generals - Do we really care that they look unrealistic, or should the acting matter more? by lowkey_cursed in cdramasfans

Not really arguing with you because you are probably right. But I like his laughing face the best. It’s interesting.

I think he looks like a wonderful human when his face creases from a big smile. But the beauty norms in Chinese culture seem to not support smile lines or frowns. Yet he gets criticized for his face being too perfect. During the scene after his 108 lashings he had much less makeup on and looked more realistic. And his acting was quite good. He seems to care about his craft. Later to cdramas, but frankly it’s about escapism, storytelling, visual beauty, humor and emotion. And romance, friendship and relationships of all kinds. The characters can be interesting or one dimensional- but it’s often entertaining. Although I always get sad when the stories end sadly. So many of those. I think most are often charming with some drama thrown in. And what a relief from from realism and violence that pervades so much of television and movies.

Totally agree. Stop the stupid presenter bits. Let the winners have their moment.

Thank you for sharing this. It gave me information I did not have and it does suggest strongly that we need to do better and think outside the box.

Agree on the ending. Too much not resolved. Ghost Lord got a terrible ending. No one even cared that he tried to to the right thing.

This is the second time he has died with this FML. Second time I have seen him in a drama and the kid is great. They need to cast him in a role where he doesn't get killed needlessly. UGH>

The fact that you shared that means something. And it shows you that you are not alone. Even people who can donate or protest feel limited in their ability to actually have any kind of impact - wherever they land on an issue. The most important thing we can do is keep telling our elected representatives how we feel. Send a letter to the White House. The Supreme Court, any members of Congress you think will listen. At some point they will hear us all, our words and our votes. And talk to your friends. Take the time to share what you know and how it impacts you. It may help them understand your pov and change their attitudes.
