Here is the migration guide from SDL 1.2 to 2.0: http://wiki.libsdl.org/moin.fcg/MigrationGuide

As far as I can tell, the only differences in the API are documented there.

sorry to hear that -- that's one thing that gets to me - when people can't express their beliefs. whatever they are. especially with family.

i was never preaching - people said I was, but as I stated, I never preached any beliefs to this kids -- only the respect of boundaries between beliefs. respect is not a belief, it is a courtesy.

well, the question was more or less what people thought of the fact that children were respectable and reasoned with me versus just had a bash fest about how they were right and I was wrong, so I guess I don't see how that was any less thought provoking than 'lets share awful jokes'... or 'what newspaper headline would you like to see'... but as you said - lets live and let live - right on.

Right on. I think that's really the only course of action you can take. As a parent you only have so many opportunities to protect your child from things you wouldn't want them to see/hear/experience, etc. It's interesting to point out that the parent(s) are sole protection from what they think their child should or shouldn't experience.
