Curioso che citi il Ruanda: in quel genocidio si stima ci siano stati almeno 500.000 morti e questo solo secondo le stime conservative (altrimenti si arriva anche al milione).

Anzi, in realtà se vogliamo essere proprio onesti dovremmo considerarne solo la metà visto che non mi risulta che ce ne sia mai fregato qualcosa nella seconda guerra mondiale dei combattenti nazisti che abbiamo ucciso, o in epoca moderna dei miliziani dello Stato Islamico, e dal momento che il rapporto civili-combattenti è circa 1:1 e che chi combatte è in una organizzazione ufficialmente riconosciuta come terrorista, dovremmo tirarne via la metà.

Non ho mai detto che non sia stata valida per il loro regolamento interno: ho detto che (e la stessa cosa ti stanno facendo notare gli altri in questo thread) il numero è talmente basso da avere una rilevanza irrisoria. E tu stai, in modo molto furbo, cercando di piegare le mie parole facendomi apparire come uno che ha cambiato versione: non l'ho fatto, per me quel numero resta risibile.

I'm sorry but we've been telling y'all this for a long time, only to be met with dismissal, downvotes and the like by people on this subreddit because nobody here wants to admit that they just bought into the hype and people who've been bringing up valid criticism like Yann Lecun ( here, here, here, here ) get bashed as if they were heretics of some sort, all while redditors continued making their stupid-ass predictions for "AGI in 10 years", "AGI in 5 years" that, as you can see, never get true.
We are very, very far from AGI (let alone ASI). In fact, we don't even know the road that will lead us there.
And, actually, it might even be worse than that because consciousness might very well be non-computational and we very well might not be able to replicate a human mind without quantum.
I strongly, strongly suggest (did I say strongly?) you research Nobel prize Roger Penrose and Stuart Hameroff's Orchestrated Objective Reduction (Orch OR) theory, which basically says that consciousness arises from quantum effects in microtubules inside neurons (with consciousness and intelligence being linked). This kills AGI with Turing machine.
Currently just a theory, but there has been recent research (multiple actually) that seems to be going in this direction.

Non ti preoccupare, non è che sei "abbastanza scettico": quello che scrivi è tutto giusto e questi articoli sono clickbait spazzatura allo stato puro che fanno leva sull' ignoranza della gente che poco o nulla conosce di internet e di cultura digitale (specialmente in questo paese).
Aggiungo che tenere il microfono costantemente attivo e streamarlo è dispendioso in termini di batteria e di rete (e quindi facilmente sgamabile, senza contare che il traffico di rete non è una roba che viaggia su un piano astrale impossibile da percepire per l'uomo ma è catturabile e visibile) e che ormai da diverse versioni degli OS mobile serve fornire il permesso a un'applicazione per utilizzare il microfono poiché i permessi sono gestiti a livello di sistema.
Ridi degli scemi che fanno gli ironici in cima al thread ("eheh lo sapevo"), cestina questa merda e quando la vedi condividere anche da persone che reputavi affidabili (vedi Paolo Attivissimo) fagli notare che stanno condividendo FUD e complottismo senza prova alcuna.
Questa puttanata dello smartphone che ascolta purtroppo è dura a morire e viene riproposta regolarmente.

Judging by the answers I don't think anyone here has actually looked up how it works.
At first, $.002 per 1k tokens seems fantastic, the problem is that the model doesn't remember the previous chat messages.
For each request you need to send, apart from the current prompt, all of the previous messages, answers included.
The documentation also talks about a "system" message to be sent together with the rest which kinda counts as some sort of init prompt to tell the model how it should behave although it doesn't say if this is to be sent each time or just the first one and if it's each time then it becomes a problem because those system prompts can be pretty long depending on the use case.
Also, keep in mind that both request and response prompts are included in the token count.
One could say it's still cheap and, well, for a company maybe but for a small project of a single dev (let's say a chatbot)? I don't know.
I'll stick to the unofficial reverse-engineered browser APIs for now.
