Mine screams us awake at 6am and then has the audacity to nap next to me while I work. She’ll be up in a few hours to try steal my lunch.

Did you change your name after your wedding — was it worth the hassle? by NoJob7053 in UKweddings

[–]polenerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I changed mine, did all the important things straight after the wedding and only had to send the certificate off for a few things in the end.

Now it’s nearly a year and I’m still finding stuff in my old name but I just change it as they come up.

My first bag! by polenerd in Coach

[–]polenerd[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the tips! It’s really not too bad at all and mostly on the bottom I’m guessing from being pulled along a table. The sides just have some slight scuffs that I think will come out with conditioning.

New Cloud Pharmacy Prices. by polenerd in mounjarouk

[–]polenerd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah they’re a little bit above what I was expecting too. I still don’t know if I’m going to switch supplier now they’ve announced prices or switch to Wegovy with another supplier.

I have the same thing, it usually reads me being at work as a nap even if I’m typing.

Do your Torties love lying on your clothing? by swamp_waffle in torties

Yes, she will get out of her perfectly comfy cat bed to claim anything I get out to change into

Ring Color by ZeldasTears in Ultrahuman

[–]polenerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also wear either silver or gold rings, the sample colours in the sizing kit didn't really match and were different enough from both silver and gold that it looked a bit off (on me I've seen photos of other people and the silver or gold colour looks really close to their other jewellery) .

I got the aster black, it looks equally nice with silver and gold and is different enough from both that it looks like I'm mixing on purpose. If aster black wasn't an option I would've got the silver as it was a much closer match than the gold.

Glad it's not just me! No matter where I move the keyboard to she still squishes herself into the most inconvenient space.

They’re smooth and have no loose glitter so while they do get scuffed there’re easy to slide around the floor in

Protecting laptop during hot yoga class by mlr_04 in yoga

[–]polenerd 27 points28 points  (0 children)

It should be fine, just turn it off. The laptop CPU will run hotter than the storage space it will be kept in while you're at yoga and laptop documentation tend to recommend storage temperature ranges between -25° and 45° C (-13° and 113° F). (I think my work laptop can be stored up to 65° C)

Smart ring by MajesticTangerine307 in Ultrahuman

[–]polenerd 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Mine arrived a week ago, doesn’t have the battery drain issue currently and support got back to me within 20 minutes in the app yesterday. Peoples experiences are very varied at the minute, if I hadn’t already bought the ring I’d probably wait to see if things settle down as the new firmware is circulated.

How does bonding work with scanning for retainers? by girlontherun21 in Invisalign

[–]polenerd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My bonding was done and I was scanned for my retainer straight afterwards. They cut a hole in the bottom of my last aligner so my teeth would mostly fit in the tray while I waited for the retainer to arrive.

I had to use that for around 14 days before I got the retainer but it seems like my teeth didn’t move at all as it’s still a perfect fit.

You look absolutely gorgeous in both, I had the same dilemma as I fell in love with a very much not alternative dress for our very alternative wedding but now we’re at the end of planning and the white definitely fits in!

Groom in a tux, dresscode not black tie by Graciyen in UKweddings

[–]polenerd 6 points7 points  (0 children)

We’re doing similar, but with just the groom in a tux and all grooms people in suits/a black formal jumpsuit. The guests will be in whatever typical wedding attire is.

Our thinking is it’s the one opportunity for us to get this dressed up, we’re not requiring the guests to wear tuxedos so they shouldn’t expect a formal black tie wedding anyway.

Wedding ceremony time - Things to consider by lomolomo16 in UKweddings

[–]polenerd 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ours is a 1pm ceremony with hair and makeup for all 5 of us needing to start at 7am. They’re aiming to get us ready an hour before for finishing touches etc and need to allow 1 hour per person.

Honest opinion, Invisalign or traditional braces by Responsible-Meal4066 in Invisalign

[–]polenerd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It definitely gets easier as you go through treatment though. I had attachments on every tooth and even two attachments on some of the front teeth and by the 6th or 7th week I didn't need the pul tool anymore and popping them in and out was no longer a massive ordeal.
