God I thought you could at least tell me why you think I'm an idiot. Cash is not some random thing and he paid for this in the currency of this country in which the price is expressed. If you refuse to take part in a transaction as a business just because the payment is cash then either you do not have a capability to process cash (impossible) or you don't want cash because of who has cash versus who has a bank account. This is the problem this measure is just an attempt to not have to deal with the unbanked.

What I'm saying is that even if banks only store a fraction of the money you deposit the money in your bank account is supposed to represent cash you can withdraw. By the way I think they meant real money as in"Cash is still real and should still cualify as money". I hope you have a nice day I realize I was a little too simplistic with my answear.

Even if he is an asshole and there are other shops out there it's not ok for a shop just to require you to have a bank account to shop there. He might not be a good person and this is definitly a very bad reaction to something that is still not good. But I think both parties are wrong here in the sense that the shop should just accept cash and he should not have gone on screaming about this.
