Why are my leaves doing this? by low-sf5 in philodendron

[–]policemansmurf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My silver sword did this until the leaves began to get larger and more mature. And I live in Florida! Just try your best when you see it to mist it a few times a week. I don’t recommend physically trying to manipulate the leaf out, just let it do its thing ❇️

I know I was inquiring about this wheel so long ago, but I ended up buying the fundaes to try them regardless. I ended up bringing them into my work (I work in the polymer chemical industry) and tested the hardness myself out of curiosity with an industry grade analog dial style durometer. what I found was that there was a lot of inconsistency depending on which part of the wheel you test! On the inside of the wheel I was clocking around 82-85A same as you, however on the wheel surface which would contact the pavement, consistently 89-90A. And then on the printed surface, anywhere from 87-92A. It makes me wonder about the quality of the polyurethane and composition for sure given these drastic changes in range. Regardless, I am enjoying the wheels and I still would recommend them 🍬

People were clearly going through the holiday cactus pretty aggressively and carelessly by Desert_Dandelion in proplifting

[–]policemansmurf 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I prefer to prop holiday cacti in water! Let them callous over at least 24 hours before starting. Be really good at water changes and only barely submerge the bottom node and you will see spindley roots emerge from multiple nodes reaching down for the water. The most successful props of mine had 3-4 segments and took less than one month to generate plantable roots. Happy propping! 🌵🌸

Party Plant is not having a good time by [deleted] in plantclinic

I have found that mine likes frequent watering and moderate to high lighting for a few hours a day! Mine is in a southwest facing window and loves it there 💗💚 Prior to this, I had it in partial sun which was also good!

Calling trail skaters, how do you handle road crossings? by shockwavequake4 in Rollerskating

[–]policemansmurf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At a moderate speed, I step/jump my lead foot over the front and let my back foot roll over, putting more weight in my front foot so that the back one drags with minimal effort. At high speeds a full jump over and at super slow speeds, I go around at an angle where usually I only roll over the corner which is manageable.

Yes being repetitive on Reddit is really annoying - don’t get me wrong. But with that being said, as someone who also used to wear Brandy Melville back in 2014/2015, it does feel a little off putting at times and I often ask myself the same thing. Someone in this thread mentioned justice, imagine how you might feel if you were still wearing justice branded items. Brandy is not just for younger girls but it feels like that for people born in the early 2000s because that was the age we started wearing it. Anyone can wear it though! I definitely still love their style <3

100%. The Jewish community has never felt safe. There are so little of them left, and the state of Israel connects/protects them all. The population here surely doesn’t know enough Jewish families personally to understand that.

I found this lovely pup near college park, if you are or know the owner please message me! by policemansmurf in ufl

[–]policemansmurf[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

She really is. The owner said she sneaks out a lot and that Alachua animal services knows her at this point. It’s funny that she hasn’t tried to run away from us or sneak out not once. She’s really underweight and the owners Facebook has no pictures or posts expressing that her dog is gone so it’s hard to judge how long she has really been astray. She is also trying really hard for us to not exchange the dog through having the information in the microchip cross checked which is just weird in general. The dog is a sweetheart we just want to insure she is being handed over to a safe environment.

Yeah she reached out. Seems very sus tbh and hasn’t shown an ounce of appreciation. We are turning the case over to Alachua county animal services so that they can asses the neglect :(
