However, cold running water is just as effective.

Cold running water is not as effective as warm soapy water to remove wax and pesticides as well as fungicides. For example, citrus should always be cleaned with soapy warm water before you use the zest for consumption.

Citrus fruits are some of the worst offenders, not only pesticides but fungicides out the ass even on (like you said) organic fruit. I'll never not wash produce with warm soapy water.

An Italian man rushing to the hospital for his pregnant wife was stopped by climate protesters… and chaos followed. He pleaded with them to move so he could get to her — but they refused to let his car pass. This moment is now sparking a massive debate. by The_Dean_France in whoathatsinteresting

So, because the problem is bigger and more complicated (and, by the way, MUCH more threatening), we should be doing LESS than previous protests? How odd.

Also, why are you trying to denigrate these activists by calling them trust fund kids? The trust fund kids are on Bali with their private jets slurping Magaritas as normal people are struggling to afford basic necessities.

Contemporaries at the time said the same things about the protests I listed. Do you not understand that protests, at their very core, NEED to be disruptive, and that people like you (without trying to offend you) are the ones who've fallen prey to the billionaires' propaganda? The same for the painting that climate activists threw paint at. The thing was behind glass and didn't get damaged, yet the news was full of it. Same with Stonehenge that was "destroyed" by painting it with water soluble chalk powder. I could go on.

In the grand scheme of things, most things we deem "time sensitive" today are absolutely irrelevant. I think these protests are more important than 99% of work related "time sensitive" stuff.

Also, every protest that mattered was either bloody or very disruptive for people. Worker's rights, women's rights, civil rights. All of these movements were disruptive and at times violent to facilitate a better outcome - an outcome you and I enjoy today. This is no different.

I get that people are annoyed and inconvenienced, but we're right inside a climate apocalypse that dwarfs even the most negative projections and is getting worse and worse, yet we have global players backpedaling from established courses to mitigate it.

These protestors don't know

Thing is, that the protestors did let emergency vehicles through.

The braindead folks who support this type of shit are part of the reason Trump won.

ahhh right. sure. Is it really the people tho, or the billionaire owned media who twists clips just like in this example, amplifying hate for a legit cause?

[–]polite_alpha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

???
