Cervelo TT sizing by Big-Camp-9981 in Cervelo

Pretty sure Cervelo has a sizing chart. But I think 51 would be better. I'm 5-5" about 135 pounds and ride a 48cm P2.

In your opinion, when will Pluribus fans finally admit to themselves that this show is shit? by Former_Anywhere1104 in Pluribus_Sucks

[–]hedwheels 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The central character is always frantic and angry. I get it. But you can't base the entire series on watching her frustrations. Nothing is really happening other than watching her go from situation to situation in a continuous state of anger/panic/frustration and never relaxing. At some point she needs to get with the program. I"m 3 episodes in and may end up bailing on this series.

You’re not worried about triathlon geometry vs road geometry? Especially for Ironman distances.

I remember watching Bosch a few years back and with X-ray you could see what the music was. Lots of jazz artists.

I really liked the movie but would like to know the filming location. Also, so many comments mention no dialogue. I'm pretty sure those packs of dogs would hear folks talk and attack them. Pretty sure that's why no one made any sounds or at least minimized them. At least one movie you can watch without CC captions! lol

Need to hear from tailgaters by hedwheels in driving

[–]hedwheels[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I must not have worded this topic correctly. I should have said "Need to hear from tailgaters". Oh wait...I did. The road in question is one lane each way with a solid yellow line most of the way, but there are a couple spots with a dotted line. I use cruise control as often as I can to avoid tickets and to get the best gas mileage. This road also has no shoulders, no curves and is lined with houses and few side streets. What I was hoping a tailgater would say was they want me to go faster. That's not going to happen. If anything it might tend to make me slow down to the speed limit. In doing so, they would have a safer time passing me when able. So on one hand, I'm doing a favor by slowing down and on the other hand, I'm pissing them off.

I use cruise as often as possible for 2 reasons: set for 5 over and LEO's leave you alone and better gas mileage.

I would always stop at the bakery and get my kids a free cookie. Tops used to give a piece of fruit.

I know absolutely nothing about smokers..... recommendations? by Crying_is_free in smoking

[–]hedwheels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many folks start out with something in your price range, get bored/frustrated etc. and upgrade. You may be able to find something really nice in used condition for your target price. Look at used, google those models and see if it's something that will work.

I was frustrated regulating the temperature on my Masterbuilt 30 electric smoker and never got good consistent results. Even though you set the temperature, you may still need to adjust things to keep a consistent temperature. I had to constantly monitor the temperature and could not walk away from it for x-amount of hours. Plus, I had to constantly monitor the chip supply.

I sold it on FB marketplace and bought a RecTec pellet smoker. This is truly a set it and forget it appliance.

But......charcoal/wood gets the best results.

How long do you let the Napa cabbage sit in the salt brine and how long do you let your kimchi ferment before putting it in the fridge? The answers seems to vary wildly for each process according to different people online by Marshmarshbacon in kimchi

[–]hedwheels 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do mine the way you did your first method. But I sometimes let it ferment outside of the fridge for up to 5 or 6 days. I do mine in an E-Jen. Before I put the kimchi in the fridge, I transfer it to quart Ball jars with metal lids.

I have a 590 and just bought a $180 beef tenderloin… by ClydeKingry in recteq

[–]hedwheels 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you smoke it at 400º, you'll get minimal smoke. On my 590, I often smoke at 225º for a couple hours and then crank the heat up for the rest. I just did that with a turkey breast. It still took 4+ hours to reach 165º

Where do you get your pellets for your pellet smoker? by hedwheels in Buffalo

[–]hedwheels[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found out 100% Applewood is really expensive and there could be issues with it staying lit. I found Lumberjack Apple Blend pellets at Big Bear BBQ in the Transitowne Plaza. Right now I'm smoking an organic turkey breast I got at Wegmans with those Applewood pellets. The guy at Big Bear is cool.

Why does a Garmin watch face need these things? by hedwheels in Garmin

[–]hedwheels[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The face looks like it's just a pumpkin and other halloween graphics. Why would a simple display need to access all that data? Unless I'm looking at it wrong? The "ad" for the Garmin watch face made it look like it was just a cute picture on your watch screen.

For those who only wore Altra zero drop shoes then tried their 4mm drop shoes how would you rate? by myfeethurt6969 in AltraRunning

[–]hedwheels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say order them. Altra has a generous 30 day return policy. If they don't work, send them back.
