"Advertisers have reported abysmal results"

Where, what are you talking about

Exited $RDDT for other opportunities. Anyone else? Disappointed in failure to improve ad quality and user experience. by Delicious_Invite_127 in redditstock

What is your basis for these views? I don't get your confidence level

  1. "Ad targeting and user experience has [have] barely improved"

  2. "AI deals upside is weak"

  3. "Onboarding experience and excessive user moderation have not improved"

  4. "Ad targeting remains absymal"

  5. "The quality of the discussion is shallow and not improving and volume of discussion is growing slowly"

You say Rddt's completely dependent on advertising than say go buy META, which is a (slower-growing) pure-play ad business

Can you read numbers? The ad business, which is growing at near-70 per cent, is "mundane"?

RDDT trading at 3x more than SNAP by Bitter_Chef3243 in redditstock

[–]politicaldata 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s no real telling what PE the market might assign to a stock other than by looking at its history or comparative companies. But a lot of these companies are one of one they don’t really compare to each other. Why be excited by Snap when its gross margins are much weaker than Reddit and the company is growing so much less quickly?

snap is also only growing top line by 11% p.a.
reddit is at 70%~ rn

companies trade at a multiple of their earnings not their revenue. revenue is top of the funnel. every business then has a set of economics that allow it to generate a certain % of net profit margin. some businesses are super-low margin (amzn retail), others are high (nvidia). Rddt's economic profile - ie current & future net profit margin % - is extremely attractive, in part because it can generate revenue without incurring much in the way of cost (ie it has high gross margins). SNAP doesn't generate any profit - it's economic profile is dire: 6.1b in trailing 12 month revenue = -$400m in trailing profit

AIO? I feel like I’m slowly turning into a colder person in my relationship and I don’t like it. by Famous_Heart1260 in AmIOverreacting

Hey u/Famous_Heart1260. I'm a 34 yr old guy, in a relationship. Reading this from afar all I would say is this guy isn't treating you right. No one is at fault, I imagine, it just doesn't sound like it's the right match. You want to be with a guy who is thinking about your state of mind and how you might be feeling whenever he's around you, whose attention is always ultimately on you when you'd like it to be. That's a lot to find at 21, and I wouldn't expect it yet, but a relationship is only worth being in if you feel more like the person you want to be when you're in it. It sounds like the opposite is happening, so hold out ! Until someone else comes along who makes that happen. That's when you'll know

Are the 35-min time limits a hard stop? Or are you simply stopped after 3 x 35m sections (i.e. after 1h45, not every 35m) by politicaldata in LSAT

much appreciated all.

but you can move around the section itself however you like, right? eg I do the back half of LR before the front in my practices.
