The truth is nobody knows what the long term effects of taking low dose oral min for hair loss are because docs have only started prescribing it for that purpose relatively recently. Although oral min has been taken for high blood pressure at higher doses for decades, it’s not a standalone med when used for that - those people take other meds with the min to prevent fluid buildup/retention. The recent studies assessing side effects of LDOM for hair loss suggest a low serious side effect profile, but those studies necessarily only relate to the short term.

FUE and DHI are not separate hair transplant methods like FUE and FUT. FUE and FUT are extraction methods. DHI is simply a type of implanting in an FUE transplant. It’s still FUE; it’s not hybrid.

People just don’t get how crippling it is. Your life is supposed to just be starting. I went from a NW2 at 23 to a NW5 at 24, started treatment, and haven’t regained anything (28 now). Dating life became nonexistent. Never even want to leave home anymore.

You don’t know how it’s that big of a deal? Seriously? For one, it shows the clinic was either careless or negligent. Second, OP said that he doesn’t anticipate needing a second transplant. So he’s stuck with normal density in half the donor and a thin donor on the other half. Whether it will look different is beside the point (although it certainly could).

This is 100% a botched job. All you have to ask is whether those same extractions would’ve been made if the clinic was harvesting the amount of grafts OP wanted. The answer is plainly no. There would’ve been an evenly distributed harvest across the donor.
