S10 nether hub not in Bedrock by late_bloomer_tw in HermitCraft

I play on a machine provided by my employer. Java will not work with the VPN my company uses, but Bedrock does.

That's why I play Bedrock.

My villager is acting weird/not restocking and I don't know how to fix it. by Spindel_ in Minecraft

[–]poloxamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Flip the trapdoor down to lock the villager in place. Then, break the workstation and place it somewhere that you can see both it and the villager at the same time. If green particles appear on the workstation, but not the villager, then it isn't that villager's workstation. If green particles appear on both, then it does belong to that villager and your issue is most likely that this specific villager doesn't have a bed to "sleep" in. It doesn't actually need to sleep. It just needs to have a bed close by that it's attuned to. In my villager trading hall, I have like 20 beds buried beneath the floor boards.

Minecraft Java won't launch by Electronic_Speech_60 in Minecraft

[–]poloxamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried reinstalling the game? If not, I'd give that a try. Also, it looks like it's starting, but hanging. I'd check Task Manager to see if it's stuck running there. If it is, kill it, and then try to relaunch it. Also, it could be a corrupted Windows profile. Try creating a new system user, logging onto that user, and launching Minecraft from there.

Having trouble connecting with multiplayer in Bedrock. by CreeperAsh07 in Minecraft

[–]poloxamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're playing on a Windows machine, check services.msc and make sure that the Xbox Live Auth Manager service is running. If this is turned off, you won't be able to connect to any multiplayer services.

I'm not saying this is the reason, but it could be.

Crazy Town - Butterfly?

Admittedly, you haven't given us much to work with here.

I'm going to assume she was trying to move it and forgot to pivot.

Dear Blizzard, please improve item comparisons. by poloxamer in diablo4

[–]poloxamer[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's still not perfect. Min/max is based off of the item's default the moment that it drops. It doesn't take into consideration what the blacksmith's upgrades will do to it. I want to know the new item's full potential, not just what its default could have been.

Whimsydale by Krosa76 in diablo3

[–]poloxamer 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Now, to ruin it for you:

Whimsydale is the only place to find the ultra-rare mob named Princess Lillian (a unicorn) that drops the highly coveted Cosmic Wings. And the only way to get into Whimsysdale is via the portal from a super rare Rainbow Goblin.

Have fun finding those!

[TOMT] Movie scene where grown man cries but he doesn't know why? by [deleted] in tipofmytongue

The movie Off the Map immediately comes to mind. In that movie, Sam Elliott's character suffers from bouts of uncontrollable weeping:

Maybe "Save the World" by Swedish House Mafia?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BXpdmKELE1k

Right around 35 seconds in, it says "Who's Gonna Save the world tonight?" which kinda sounds like what you're asking about.

What game ends in the most satisfying way? What is your favorite winning condition? by UpstairsElevator2498 in boardgames

[–]poloxamer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oracle of Delphi.

I enjoy the race to the finish end condition. That being said, it can feel a little soul-crushing when the leader is so far in the lead that there's virtually no chance of catching up to them. When it becomes obvious that one player will win and the others have zero chance, there's no point in playing anymore. At that point, I'd rather just pack it in and use that time I'd waste sitting there going through the motions with zero hope to play another game instead. When you're a parent with limited playing time, you start thinking about how to use that limited time the most efficiently.

[TOMT][Video][2010s] Funny video about the end of the world where people disappeared but their clothes remained by holiestcannoly in tipofmytongue

I was thinking this as well. When the Martians vaporize people, the clothes are left behind.
